Then there's the crowd that meets at McDonalds at about 7:00am to do some pre-event excuse generating and to bulk up for the day's events. Most folks seem to like the McD's on Route 20 at exit 419 (just before you get to Weatherford). But the smartest MMEers meet at the McDonalds in Mineral Wells, about a mile past the turn (1195) to the Mineral Wells Airpark. :wink:Quote:

Another suggestion, the same exit North side of 20 frontage road headed back towards Weatherford..is a new Sports Bar called "O :wink: vertime Sports Bar" might be a post Auto X destination for those which might enjoy a frosty one on the way home.
They have great food and new pool tables too. :wink:

Hey everybody! This is my first post here. I've always been a miata lover, but I've been autocrossing a 97 M3 sedan for the last two years.
I finally saw the light and decided to turn my 94 black and tan into an E-stock car. This will be my first autoX in the miata, so I've got a lot of learning to do. I replaced the busted old stock shocks with AGXs (wow they're inexpensive compared to BMW parts) and got an aggressive alignment. I'll be using the all season tires that were on the car when I bought it 3 yrs. ago, so I'm not expecting too much from them.
Anyway, I can't wait to meet everyone! See ya on Sat.

It was great to meet everybody today! Thanks for all the help tidbits of information, I'm sure they'll all come in handy.
It never ceases to amaze me that where ever I move, the Miata club members are so helpful and friendly. I had a great time racing my Miata for the first time. I'll be on new tires next time and hopefully being a little more competitive (the 3 yr. old all season tires just weren't getting the job done). I did manage to rip off a 88.21 in Ashley's 10AE with spent Kuhmo MXs on one of my fun runs.
Anyway, I can't wait to get out to another autocross. I might be going to the BMWCCA race next weekend to meet up with some friends, so if you're going I might see ya there.
