Is it Saturday yet?
Question to kill the time....
In the final PAX results for the El Toro ProSolo last weekend, they applied the controversial .975 to RT classes. Does anyone know if this will be standard practice for all PAX results for 2013 ProSolo events or was this a choice by the club holding the event?
Are you referring to the Rick Ruth pax results, or the official SCCA results?
I'm referring to this post from another forum...
http://www.azsolo.com/forums/index.p...dpost&p=141003
I might make the trip over if I get a chance one of the days to see how a ProSolo works and take pictures.
Any reason Saturday would be better than Sunday for this, or vice versa?
Saturday will have more runs and the action will be more consistent. Everybody still gets runs Sunday morning, but only the fast people get runs Sunday afternoon.

AWESOME WEEKEND!!!
Great weather out there at Mineral Wells, excluding some gusty winds. Competition was fierce all around...in RT2, 1st-4th were separated by .083 on day one. Being matched up with the legendary Andy Hollis this morning was pretty nerve-racking...but when the dust settled, 1st-5th were separated by .53. Other classes saw lots of changes on Sunday...I must say it was quite entertaining to hear Eric Hyman call STR with blazing a trail to get to 4th in class.
It was my first super challenge too...and I really hope it's not the last! How fun!
Thanks to Brad Maxey and the rest of the TX region club for putting on a wonderful event. Can't wait for the Match Tour in June!
This event was about as perfect as it gets, in terms of challenge, fun, weather, concessions and the mix of new and old faces. JRJ512 is a cruel, evil man, but he designs a mean course. Well done, sir. I hope the worked spreads that TX events continue to be top notch and attendance climbs. Maybe the winners need to receive pistols and cowboy hats. :-)
Special thanks to the TX Region crew and Robyn S, who made it possible for me to attend when it didn't look like I would be able to. I owe some favors. Way to go Gerry! Best drama of the day, and proved to me yet again that the Bandit is as fast as any STR car out there when driven right.

Congrats to Mark Wortham for this Super Challenge win! Superb driving man!
Thanks Jeremy! Nice driving this weekend man!
It was a great event - great food (thanks Vorshlag!), beer (thanks Piper!), friends, and a pair of really fun, challenging courses. The weather wasn't too shabby either. I hope everyone had a great time. I know a lot of folks put a lot of really hard work into making it all happen. Thanks to everyone involved!
Also a special thanks to my co-driver Mr. Lucas for all of his help and encouragement. You rock!
We've had numerous requests for a second production of the Texas ProSolo shirt.
Now open is a "second chance" order that will closed on 04/28/13.

The weekend was awesome! Thanks to Texas Region for putting on a great event and Vorshlag for providing food for the welcoming party. STR was an awesome battle. I knew Gerry was just messing with us. What an awesome last 2 runs he made. Less than one second seprated 6th to 12th place. That's close! All I and everyone needed was a little over second to make the trophies! I just couldn't find that little bit of time on the left course. But I can't complain, did way better than I thought!
Here are my best runs on left and right.

Finally got my photos from Saturday afternoon uploaded.

I have quite a few more, but I didn't have time to finish editing them, so I just picked some of my favorites (photos, not cars). I did miss a few due to arriving later than I planned and technical difficulties  from using a friend's gear so he could try mine, but I should have at least one decent one of most of the cars. If you don't see yourself here, or want more of your car, send me a message or email (alstauffer at gmail) with your car, class, and number and I'll see what I have.

Awesome shots! Thank you!
I received an email today from the coordinator of the folks that staffed the concession area at the Mineral Wells ProSolo. These volunteers were from the Palo Pinto General Hospital in Mineral Wells & were raising money for the American Cancer Society. From the weekends sales & donations folks made at the site, they raised $1,215.00 over the two days!
 Thank You to everyone that bought food & made donations to their cause while at the Texas SCCA ProSolo!!!
Posted some photos from the weekend.

Big props to Mark for "disposing" of me. ;)
Congrats Mark!
The car shots are great, the people shots are the best though. Thanks Brad!
Many of you have seen Ben Freedman's talent already from his video of the 1st 2013 SCCA autocross at Dallas Speedway.
Here's Ben's latest work from the 2013 Texas ProSolo:

^ VERY cool.
Looking at that screen shot of Stan and Su's car... Porsche needs to offer a Cayman "whale tail" from the factory. That spoiler looks sharp!
Nicely done Ben!
