I say cut, have the body shop cut off the windshield frame. It's just dead weight and you can do an impression of Jeremy Clarkson driving the Ariel Atom.
Sounds like a good project, I can't wait to see it done!

Thumbs, aka Titus, mentioned that... but I'd like to remain street legal.Quote:

We had been working with razor blades to cut through the gorilla snot for about 30 minutes, and we were a little less than half way around. I had done the whole passenger side and about halfway across the top on the passenger side. I gently pushed in the top passenger side corner to see if it had any give, and to make it easier to get the blade in. Then Pop. A 1/4" star formed under my thumb and a crack went straight down about 10 inches. Bean looked like a family member had died... but then he grabbed a sledgehammer and got a huge smile on his face. I had told him 30 minutes earlier that we should call it a night and hit the nudie bar, but he just had to have the windshield out. :punchout:Quote:

My dream....
That's about the color I'm looking for... however, maybe with a nice thick white stripe down the center. Perhaps...
White circles on doors, hood, trunk for magnetic numbers. :DQuote:

I tried floating the idea of perma-meatballs on the car... but I don't know if I can sell myself on it.Quote:

Bean...That is the Orange car I was talking about Saturday night. That is what I would do, but I think if it was me I would skip the meatballs and/or stripe. Not that there is anything wrong with the white... just not my style.Quote:

So in conclusion, Orange paint w/ flat black hood, a SC 302, no windshield, and lots of bugs in your teeth. Now that would be cool! Take or leave it.
Orange is the shizzle, but I'd leave the meatballs and the stripe off.
Solid orange gets my vote. No white stripe.
One more vote for Orange, but we already know I love that color
Retro baby! Stripes and meatballs are cool.
I like the orange idea, could you photoshop a pic of the BUR? Make it orange and put the stripes and meatballs on it and stuff.
I was discussing colors today with my graphic artist friend when something he said struck me. He asked, "Are you doing orange 'cause you're a Texas fan?"
I hope to find a nicer, more vibrant orange than that nasty Texas orange.
So is it back from the paint shop?? Pictures please!
Nope... not there just yet. I'm hoping ccage and Sean can come over Friday and we'll be done with the hydraulics and small pieces. After that point, at some time, ccage has a blaster we're gonna hit the body with.Quote:

Chevy's 1969 Hugger Orange always jumped at me.
My Daddy painted a school bus camper that color back in the early 70's. Best looking camper I ever saw and it got a 396 after the first trip to Colorado.Quote:
