He would have to come in his Amanti if anything.... I should be getting a roll bar this weekend.

Good times. Maybe I should've gone to school on Saturday, think I finished in the bottom 3rd.
jrj512- Excellent showing this weekend. I was really impressed w/ the handling being on street tires. You have really smoothed out over the off season. Or were you just taking easy; if so, look out because you will definitely be a force to be reoconed with.
jrj512, you may have claimed first place. Apparently that Lotus was wearing its OE tires, which have a treadwear rating of 60, pushing it into SS from TSS. Watch for the posted results.
Just repeating what I read yesterday from the SCCA email list.
I was talking to the guy who won at McDonalds on Saturday morning before the AX school. He said that he was not using the stock tires because he could not afford them and was instead running street tires. That is when he told me that his stock tires would keep him out of the tire class. The red Lotus, on the other hand, might have been running the stock ~R-compound tires.
However, R-compunds would explain his times. If he was on street tires (and I suspect he was), then he is one fast mofo. We will have to catch him.
All I know, if they were stock (on the red Lotus) they have skinny fronts and biggy rears. They were not stock.
Lotus doesn't use the same size wheel for the entire car like a Miata. ;)

The driver of the Red Lotus was DSQ at the ER event for not working both work assignments. He was not the only one. :punchout:
Ah, I didn't know that. Interesting. You know the Japanese run skinnys in the rear and biggies on the front for road courses. I guess it helps in rotating of the car. I saw the red's tires layin' there and thought why would someone go to the expense of buying a cool rim to go on their spare? They SURE are skinny when compared to others.
Results are up! ::Banana::
One Lotus relocated to SS, jrj512 took second, and sammm should give back his trophy!
Yeah me.... I didn't finish dead last in the Novice class. I also did not hit any cones or DNF. Go Me!
Good job Teddy Reddy. Hope you plan on attending many more and keep improving. Seat time equals beat time.
Just found out what a small world it is....
Stopped in the break room here at work to pick up a soda and bumped into Ted the Red! I didn't recognize him at first, but he was quick to catch me up. I thought I recognized his car in the parking lot this morning, but wasn't sure.
Now he'll really know how little work I actually do...

I had the same thing happen. I bumped into a cone at a contruction site last week and it turned out to be one from an SCCA event at Mineral Wells last year. Amzing, isn't it? :D
