Yeah there were a lot of problems Saturday.
Yeah there were a lot of problems Saturday.
Can you imagine if POS Racing and Sammm were working in the trailer together on Saturday? Now that would have been something to watch!
BTW, I cannot find my trophy from Sunday. If anyone found an extra 1st place left in the paddock, then shoot me a PM. I'm fairly certain that Brad stole it. Eyes would have been on Titus, but he already had one of his own.
Yeah, they are, the audit for Saturday is a mess. I did Sunday's audit and Gary is doing Saturday. I figure he'll probably have it done today or tomorrow.
As for Saturday, IMHO, mirrorcrosses, in the format that ER does it, are farked. There is no real drag start, you can't tell who got to the finish 1st even if you compare the times, the courses are hard to make mirrors at MW, they are too short, too much to do and not enough time to do all the runs in one heat for 2 driver cars. And they are a freakin' nightmare for the T&S/audit. Plus, the finish was wayyyyy to close to the edge of the pavement, as a few people found out. Don't get me wrong, I think the Pro Solo format is cool, but with ER's lack of the proper equipment, site, or # of drivers to make a full event, its a waste of time and way too much work to be worth the effort. ::Rant::
Results for Saturday were just sent to Kenny.
Over 250 cones were hit on EACH side!!!
::Rant:: (As I had to audit ALL of them!)
For a total of over 500 cones, not counting DNF's (approx. 43 of those).
If it's posted as I sent it, D1 is the Left course and D2 will be the right course.
Jeremy, don't forget, you got twice as many runs as usual, 12 runs, not 6. So to expect it to be done earlier than 5:00pm, IMHO, is unrealistic.
Later,
The Mirrorcross was an administrative nightmare, even for the Grid workers! But it was still a lot of fun and something different! I'm sure we can manage it once a year;)
I sent them again. And the points files.
Hopefully you will get them now. :D
You have a PM.
Later,
Challenge Cup #9 Results Posted ::Flag::
Also the final season points have been updated.
A big thanks for the fast turn around by
SpinOutF500
Year end PAX: 7th Jon - 172 8th Iain - 171... talk about a close competition! ;)
And Mr. Foley in 5th place with a 180, having pulled out an overall PAX victory (and collecting a massive 25 points) at the last event of the season to top the "dynamic duo"!
So is BStock the new battleground?
Lots of Miata pilots all over the Year-End Trophies... nicely done!
Are year end trophies first 3 spots in each class? Congrats to jrj512 for representing TES well. All 3 of us were in the top 5, even with limited event attendance.
From ER site
To receive a Year End Trophy (Y.E.T.) at the Equipe Rapide Christmas/Awards Party on December 15,
you must compete in a minimum of 6 events and have at least 50% of the class winner's points.
The final points are calculated by taking each drivers best 7 events.
No limit to the number of trophies, just depends on number of points earned.
B Stock locally is not for the faint of heart. Just as an example, there were five B Stock drivers in the top 15 in Pax on Saturday... and four of those drivers did it WITH cones on their times.
There are several other local classes with very good drivers (ESP, FM, BM, and SS come to mind), but I don't think there's another class with the sheer number of drivers that could win it on any given day. That's why I think I may try a slower class next season, like Street Mod or BSP. Somewhere that I can use parts and money to make up for my lack of talent.
