First, does anyone know what time anything starts on Friday other than tech inspection. I've gotten e-mails from the ARk club until the last two weeks and zero. No replies lately, maybe very busy.
Errrrr, never mind on tis one. The schedule is posted at the AMC web site.
Next, what kind of dinner Saturday night and dress code? T-shirts?

Also CB's are for truckers and people stuck in the 70's .... I have a pair of FRS radios so I can loan one to someone if needed.
I have 3 FRS's they were cheap but seem to work ok....

For you rookies, here's a quick list of non-obvious items you might wanna bring:
• Duct tape to tape up your headlights and fog lights
• A second set of sunglasses. You'd be surprised how many styles won't fit under a helmet.
• Folding chair
• Spare car key!! Give it to a buddy for safekeeping.
• A couple of large trashbags. In case it rains, all of the stuff you remove from your car won't get soaked.

- Umbrella or raincoat
- Key to any wheel locks

- Remove your wheel centercaps
- Some motor oil (oil consumption can happen on new cars too!)
Hallett weather update:
• Friday will be sunny and 70s.
• Saturday has chance of showers and 60s.
Plan ahead...
Track Dog will be located at the track under the third garage canope that we rented for the event. If there is room come pit by us if you like. Remember to go straight to the hotel first and get teched. I would then suggest going to the track and stake your claim. Seriously! You might leave a few cars there and ride back together or at least leave out and rope off a spot. Somebody needs to bring some rope and everyone needs to bring floding chairs. They will lock the gate up at night.
Here are a few other suggestions:
Add a 1/4 of a quart of oil before you go on the track.
Start with 31 PSI in the front and 29 in the rear; lower pressure will generate more heat sooner. It will most likely be cool up there.
If you have adjustable dampeners like the AGX try near full stiff (80%) in the front and soft (25%) in the rear.
If it rains and I hope it does not then leave the dampeners on full soft and stay off the race line. The race line is the most driven and will most likely be the slickest area due to oil and such.
Try to relax the hands and arms and feel the track. If you feel the back end coming out Don't let off the gas, the car will normally follow the front wheels and align its self.
By all means if someone is faster than you let them by! If possible try to follow and see there line, this is the best way to learn the track in short order.
Drive maybe 75% of your capability at first to learn the entrance and exits of the turns and then add more speed as you feel more comfortable. Most drivers try to keep up with the other drivers instead of learning on their own. Don't make this mistake!
And Don't look in your mirror as you enter into a turn to look at the guy behind you! If you do you will most likely run off the track! View only after to exit the turn.

Anyone know what kind of high-octane fuel is available at the track? 93 octane, or the REAL good stuff?
No sense lugging along 2 gallons of toluene if they have 100+ octane for sale there...
