The car in at another shop now.
On the 6th, at the first shop (near my home), I told Donnie that I wanted to car by the 19th. He checked his schedule and then told me he could start on my car Thursday or Friday, and have it finished by early this week. When I checked on the car yesterday, the shop owner, Ken, checked the schedule and then told me that there was six cars in front of mine. When I asked about the chance of getting the car by Friday like Donnie had told me, he just chuckled and pointed to a sign on the wall that said they don't make promises and he doubted that they could even start on the car this week. Then he said that I was welcome to take the car to someone else. I told him I would be back in about an hour. When I went back to get the car, all the men were gone and cute young lady was there to give me my keys.
The shop where it is now has a dirt track car in only bay and lots of race car photographs and trophies in the office. I should have taken the car to this shop last week. They think they can have the car done by Friday. This shop is about 30 miles form my home.
That stinks!!

Do you have to register and pay ahead of time or can you just show up in the morning? I'm still not sure if I'm going to go.
I'm looking forward to a new lot to race in. BUT, remember that this is also the lot that jury members park in during the week and they had a lot of vandalism and break-ins. We'll have to keep an eye out for the "public" moreso than our other venues.

Maybe off topic, but the old North Hills Mall would be a great AutoX location, if they wanted to set up a nice long road course around the whole mall.
I don't know about around the whole mall, but the parking lot could be a good place otherwise. Hmm, isn't the mall empty? How about IN the mall, Blues Brothers style? :burnrubr:
Might want to mention it to Matt this weekend, as they might have already tried to pursue it.
I tried to get that venue a couple of years ago after the last store closed...No dice... Lot's really kinda in rough condition anyway...
I didn't even know North Hills was empty now. Used to be a lot of high-end stores in there (going 10-15 years back).
