Um, I'm no mechanic, but I remember this problem (a few cars ago) turned out to be tires. Replacing tires/balancing fixed the problem for me.

Haha yea I'd def have the person inside the car....unless of course they would rather run along the outside while you drive...which I dont think they're gonna wanna do, esp. if they're "up in years' hope you can figure out the problem
Thanks to all of you who have offered suggestions. The Boomiata is now is the hands of Stevan Boyd. I'll let you know what he determines...

:clap: Thanks to everyone who offered advice, sympathy and referrals to Stevan. I'm ecstatic to report that the Boomiata now has brand spanking new right rear bearing. (Whew! I was really sweating a new diff.) I probably won't pick it up until tomorrow as he tells me the winds up there are horrendous -- 60 mph! And I want to be able to hear the beautiful sound of no wub-wub when I take the twisty back from his place.
