Man I'm excited for this event. Unfortunately, I may have just punctured my right ear drum. My equilibrium is way off, so I'm so sure how well I'll do.
Ha! Nailed F.E.D.!!!!!
(Fastest Excuse of the Day)
Let me know if someone can't make this!!! I want in
Stick me on the list!! Lets setup a UFC fight with everyone on the list to see who gets to make it!!! Now!!!!
OK, here is the UFC fight plan; it will be online-registration prepay only, and will be capped at 65 entrants, but will be heavily publicized for several weeks in-advance. Doh!
Some of us get stuck on trains out of the loop ;)
The weather forecast is within our acceptable range and it has not waivered for several days, so let’s call this event on.
I'll have the run/work order posted ASAP
I'm in!!!! With the new car for this year!!!! Woohoo!!!!
Im in
Should I even bother to bring a camera? I was just reading the rules about working the course and it said no cameras while working the cones. Will there be any down time to take some shots or should I just leave the camera at home?
MS
You will have lots of opportunity to take pictures when you are not working or driving.
Bring your camera. You can get great shots from on top of the stands when you are not working or driving.
Dallas Raceway will have their snack bar open to serve lunch on Saturday, so bring some cash for some vittles. Not a lot of places to eat in the area.
And note, they ONLY take cash. No credit/debit cards.
Do they have ...

That would be funnier if you realized the Hoosier connection when you did it. :)
Tentative Run/Work Order: (this event uses the AB/BA format and a different PM course)
Work A, Run B: 1, 1R, 3R, S2K
Work B, Run A: 2, 2R, 3
I hope that the AB/BA format does not become the format for all events. I really don't care for it.
Need Advice Re: Tire Presure
For those of you who race a Miata (NA, NB or preferably NC), what tire pressure will you start with in an event like this? I believe the thing on the door suggests 29psi? Would you start there and then do the chalk test or tire temp test? I've never done this before and could use some suggestions here.
Thanks,
MS
I would start in the 35 range, then go down till you find the pressure they want.
