Don't give up on the car just yet. I think you'd be suprised what it can do. Keep driving the car, don't be afraid to ask for help. And get as much seat time as humanly possible.

Have to agree there... I play Forza Motorsport (1 & 2) and I can safely say that it helped me a LOT with my real-life driving.

Yeah the new Mugen Civic RR went around Tskuba faster than the NSX-R. I wouldn't say video games help a lot since you can't feel the dynamics of sitting in a car and what your inputs do to change that but it can definetely teach you the proper lines and basic theory. Nothing substitutes just driving a lot in real life.

haha i never really got into the car racing video-game thing...mainly because of the lack of stimulation. but i do have a fond memory of winning a copy of gran turismo 3 weeks before it came out by beating some blokes time at sony's metreon in san fran.
