I have never run with NASA but I read the rule as "should have" which to me means optional. If it said "shall have" or "will have" then it's required.
I would still be suprised if a roll bar was not required.

apparently you don't either. i said from the start that you could in hpde. NOT TT. (although my buddy did just that in his msm) second, the tt director or the national office isn't going to be at msr-c doing tech insp. i don't know how else to say this more clearly, not sure what you don't understand.
why would i think it would not be a problem? because i and many of my friends have gone to nasa events at tracks across texas without one. of course we have all installed one now. all but one of my friends started running hpde's without a bar for the first few hpde's, at all different times throughtout the past 5 years. that's why i don't think it would be a problem. that's also why i said you could fill out a tech form and get that out of the way first. if for some reason they say no, your not out your entry fee. but that just might be too much trouble for what it's worth. actually, it's already too much trouble. sorry you couldn't make it, i would have loved to see what your car could do.
Like I said, the NASA CCR covers HPDE and TT. If you and your friends have run events without a roll bar somebody dropped the ball. Just b/c the national office is not going to be doing tech inspection at MSR doesn't make it right. :confused:
You'll see my black NC, though it will run a great deal slower than Miatamoto's black one!...I'm talking bout using a calender to measure the difference lol.....either way I'll be out there for the seat time and fun.
Not true NC Eunos! Your car runs a good deal faster than Miatamoto's. It will be driven slower. Fastest laps my car ever made at Hallett were with Miatamoto or Trackdog driving it.
