I think you missed the sarcasm... Matt Andrews had an off in Trey's car at ECR last Miata Challenge that was quite a scare. He was flatout on the backstretch when the throttle cable stuck wide open from heating of the sheath.Quote:

To all the guys here if my passenger seat is open feel free to jump in.
I think they had about 140 signed up, cap at 150. I know several have canceled (cupcakes).
Remember to check fluids, brakes, tires, etc. Take care of everything before the track day. Get sleep the night before. Arrive with time to unload and finalize the car setup BEFORE the driver's meeting. You might run the first session out.

A couple of notes.
If you follow the directions on the raceway's website, there is construction on the last 7-8 miles of 1173 to where you make the left turn onto 455. Included was a flagman and about 1/2 mile of one way road.
There's construction on 51 between where you make the left turn from 455 to the track. There is also a stretch of flagged one lane road in that.
There's a DPS officer who lives/works in Slidell (where 51/455 intersect). He had a Evo pulled over today.
If you come through Krum on 1173 and go faster than the posted limit, you are revenue.
Do you think they'll be ok with me setting up a beacon at S/F to get laptimes? I know it's not a race, DE or TT but just curious to see what my times are compared to last year (provided there isn't too much traffic)
Thanks for the construction/cop updates Squid. Looks like pretty good weather for December 4 :). When I signed up a while back I was mentally preparing for 30-40 degree weather. 60+ is fantastic.
I had a good time. It was nice to see that I have about the same acceleration as a 1.8. I wish I would have had some more time playing with Ken O to see how I was doing in the corners compared to him. I'd do it again.
