At least I'm HONEST, Mike. Don't make up stories and I won't call you on them. I wish you luck on this event. It IS a good deal and I can't believe people aren't jumping on it. You just got to believe the entries will come in. Don't give up!

well, in regards to the above post, I received this PM from 2K Miata entitled "hey dumbass":

"Just got yourdelf banned from the event for that last post to the TDR track day.

I don't put up with that from people like you."

It is time for a linkie to the alligator hide post. The above posts between merv and 2K Miata were getting bitter and pointless. I personally thought something to lighten the mood was appropriate. I had no intentions of offending anybody. I still don't. Unfortunately, I miscalculated how personally my post would be taken. It is a shame that this is the response sent back to me, because I was planning to go to the TDR event. It was a good deal that would have been great fun. I guess I'll have to make new plans.

My apologies to all. It was not my intention to cause hurt feelings for anyone. No one knows, more than me, how much stress putting on one of these things can be. Had Mike qualified his comments as the first event with the professional instructors, I never would have said anything. Sorry :(

In light of recent posts, it has been decided that TDR at MSR '07 will offer a few new activities at no additional charge:

• A mandatory morning driver sensitivity session
• An optional afternoon "cranky old farts" vs. "young wippersnappers" skidpad race

Seriously, all. Gary and Mike and working hard to organize a great event that will benefit everyone who attends. It will be great fun and provide a lot of track time and cameraderie. I've personally attended every version of the "Miatas at the Ranch" event, and they were ALL a blast. But...we need a full grid to make this happen. The difference between "go" and "no go" could be YOU. So, make a commitment to the event now and keep this event on track.

Sorry to hear our event got whacked by a couple of comments. We are getting a lot of promises, but the checks are coming in slow. In case you do not know, we are holding everyone's checks until we can confirm that we have about 70%. So if you are short on funds, please send your check and right me a note to not cash without contacting you. I will post when we are cashing the checks.

If at any time you have questions, please email or call me. Remember, the Novice group always fills in the fastest. If you have every been on a road race track or even auto crossing you would be better off to be in the Intermediate group. Instructional help is always a request away.

Look forward to having everyone come.

Update on the event, we have received 30 checks so far, but lots of promises. So far the Novice has about 10 of 20 places with the remainder in Intermadiate and Expert.

As we have stated before we are not cashing the checks until we ahve a larger head count.

ANy questions please let us know.
