I was reading that thread. Some are up in arms about that and about the blue Camaro doing the u-turn to get a running start at the timer. The 'incident' was concering a certain white S2000 doing an alleged victory donut after getting FTD. I was there when it happened and it was innocent enough. No harm done to anyone or anything.Quote:

Autocrossing is inherently dangerous. You're piloting more than a ton of steel, plastic, and glass at speeds high enough to get yourself killed or total your vehicle. Helmets aren't required as a fashion statement. I would never return to an event that took safety that lightly, and I would warn others to stay away. But on the other side of the spectrum, it sounds like the BMW guys really haven't changed since I retired from running BMW events, which is surprising and somewhat disappointing. :?

And... uhh... Anyone notice that lost216's kiddo officially smacked a bunch of us around at SCCA? My ego (and probably her daddy's, too) says it's probably a T&S glitch based on the other times... but... geeez! What a birthday present!
