I had a ton of fun today, well actually 2247 lbs of Miata fun. No offs, no spins and one miss, a MINI spun in front of me.
Great seeing everyone out there.
I'll post video soon.

Like "the others" have said, I had a great time and enjoyed meeting a lot of you, thanks for being nice to me even though I was in a Porsche
That was a damn good day. I discovered my brake problem source when going home...the cotter-pin fell out and the pad slid half-way out the caliper. Wilwood fail.
Had a blast but I sure could use a few more horses. William and I tried to breed our cars but it just wasn't ment to be. Great to see so many having a late season good time.
Here's my video from the last session. Nails, and several miatas make appearance in it.... :D

LOL! I really didn't want to let that Atom get away but he was damn fast up the back stretch. That's Electro catching up to me in his red Porsche followed by Skirt in the silver Miata. Then Track Dog, in the red Beast, caught us all and just when he, Electro, and I where running a train, the checkered came out.
Very smooth and relaxed driving apex2apex. You still running the AD08's, I don't remember them being as vocal and slick.
There's a lot of grip on the inside of 13. I hug the curb all the way through, fighting the torsen.

I stand corrected:

#10, then.
Anyone have any videos from group 2? I want to see how slow I was, LOL.
I tried the inside line on #10 and followed Gary through with a wider line through there to get on the gas earlier and straighter shot coming out of the hill. Inside line almost bit me once when rode the curb a little to close and needed quick hands for several hundred feet. LOL!
Good times! Skirt, Nails, and I had some of the best lead follow sessions I've done in a long while. Gary was having some mechanical issues, so I was finally able to play cat and mouse with him for a few laps. :)
/\ lol!
Lmao!
Poor Darron65. When he pointed me by on the straights, I think he actaully had to turn the car off in order to slow down enough. I swear he was jingling his key ring at me when I inched by. ;)
I wonder how many of you use the inside on #10! I think the inside is better. It has more grip and I can get on WOT earlier. I saw a spec Miata video on Youtube that used the inside too. When I tried the wider (middle) line, I had to fight hard not to have my tail coming around!
I was inside on turn #10 most of the day. Outside you have scrub a little more speed and rotate the car earlier which straightens the turn up to come up out of the hill. Only works well with some HP and torque. That hill is a killer for momentum running.
I'm having trouble again trying to embed YouTube. So you will just have to click the link.
This is the beginning of session 3 for group 2. Matt V, bnordin, black roadster and of course me. Pay no attention to my practicing my 2-5 shift, these are not the shifts you are looking for.

Here you go.

Thanks.
Honestly, it doesn't look like I was that slow compared to everyone else. I held my own for a bit. Not bad for a bone stock car with crappy worn all season tires and my first track event in the Miata.
Anyone have any pics also? I'd love to see what everyone got.
Good job Doug! Nice driving there. I also noticed that you are looking through the turns way ahead... good man!
Got an e-mail with this photo link contained therein ...

At least there was one picture of my car:

Nice. Oil or acrylic painting?
Too bad there wasn't a longer exposure time... it would be nice to see the Porsche and Mini blurred some.
