Alignment is perfect. My spark problem is still not fixed so I am travelling with a total of 12-coils, 2 igniters, stock 1.6 coils and wires, 16 spark plugs, a spare CAS, and lots of hope.

Another great event. I really had fun. My adding the Friday session this year make it a real blast. I was able to get only one of my four sessions on Saturday on my MaxQData. Probably the first session. My best lap in that session was a 1:42.4 sec., I think that's a little over a second faster than my best time last year.
We had one short session for track clean up in turn 2. Later, I heard that someone's screaming ballast caused the fluid on the track and the corner worker thought it was anti-freeze. ::Banana::
Thanks to black roadster for the help with my frozen rear caliper. Thanks to Nails for the loan of the camera mounts.
I was in Group 4. I was a little nervous about being in that advanced of a group, but I think every thing worked out well. Thank you to all the other members of the group for your patients while I looked for a place to get out of your way. Its amazing how fast the boosted cars can come up on you.
I want photos and video of my car fire balling!!!!!1
Be patient, grasshopper, you'll get them. But, it may take a few days.
+1 for pics of Jeff's balls of fire...
Doug, let me know how the video from the Chase Session turned out. If you can burn me a CD and mail me a copy I'll PM my address to you. And thanks a million for the gas! I finally got it washed off my hands... :)
Once again it was a hell of a good weekend! Gabe and Quan and Jackie and I had a good trip back thru OKC where I introduced them to the goodness of Johnnie's burgers... Mmmmm.

Fun weekend and lots of fun as usual. I should have a video on youtube later. Also, a special thanks to everyone who pumped my pedal while bleeding brakes.
I had a blast at my first Miatas @ Hallett! Big THANKS to JohnWag for his instruction and showing me the line.
It was nice to meet the usuals and some new faces, definitely will be back next year.
If anyone has some pictures of my car (Red 168), I would love to get them from you.
Alan
sounds like everyone had a good time.i wish I could have made it.and jeff let me know when those flame broiled burgers are ready :-Pp
Hello all. I met several members of this forum at Hallett (my 3rd time there). I ran Friday and in in group 4, had a blast as usual. I guess I need to watch this page to find more fast things to do in this area. Maybe somebody can show me how to drive around those autocross cone things some day but from the outside I gotta say I'm kinda skeptical...
Had an awesome time once again. Great seeing everyone. Here's my attempt at an "epic" vid (ala 0086). Please note that there are a couple of NSFW, I repeat, NSFW words in the music (two actually).
For those of you at work Monday morning (suckers) play it low. For the rest, I recommend full screen and loud..enjoy.
Black Roadster, Rootdown_53 and yours truly decided on an impromtu game of cat-n-mouse on Friday. It was fun until Hustler shows up :punchout:
Try and watch the whole thing, and no you can't have your 10 minutes back.

lol @ Frank.
LOL! "OMG! That's the funky $h1+!" Cue Hustler @ 8:55.
Great video SixAce!
Glad I could help Conecerned.
Welcome to the forum B_K. I remember talking to you on grid if yours was the Nordic Green NC.
I had a great time this year and was able to get over a couple of hours worth of hd video on and off the track. Now I gotta figure out how to edit it and post it. Two problems right now: 1. I have an eight year old computer that frame drops the hd. And 2. I have to go to work so I'll post later in the week hopefully.
Was great seeing everyone and a fun ride home with Rogue leading Drift Devil, Black Roadster, and me along old route 66.
Thanks for the video SixAce. Even in a 1.6 you can kick my ass on the track. I need more seat time!
Damn, that's a great pic of turn-2...which is now a 3rd-gear corner, lulz.

Friday: Thanks Rogue for leading us up 35 and 77 (fried pies), and Rte. 66 (pops, and Rock Cafe) and DriftDevil for the lead through OKC for a Bunnie's (kiddie) Onion burger. Awesome top down trip guys. Thanks.
Sat: Great day at the track, I'm still getting slower, it's a hard thing to accomplish, but in the 8 times I've been at Hallett I've only spun once and after watching Dan's video (thanks) I know I'm taking the right lines. My car and dad's car did great and he made it back to Albuquerque around 9 last night.
Thanks Arkansas Miata Club and all of you guys for participating. Of 75~ cars, 20 were from Texas. Good showing!
The trailer saw triple digits on the way home thanks to the inconsiderate caravan leaders:

Gmail has a 25MB attachment limit. I'll need to burn it to a CD...
Had a blast at my first Hallet day. I'm already looking forward to next year. Thanks to Stevan for leading us up Route 66 on the way there and back, some of the things you see along the way are just too cool and for getting my car ready for the event with only a few days to get his own ready for the trip! Great to have Chris with us on the run up, and William and Michael on the run down. I need to check my pics and also see if the GoPro worked out. Also a big thanks to everyone that offered help when we found out I possibly had a bad tire at the end of the event. We aired it up on the way out of town and it did good the whole way home. Waggs- I'll have to get you to sit in with me on a session next year, I felt I got quite a bit faster as the day went on and I got more comfortable with the track. And I got to take my parents for a session each which not only was fun for me but a blast for them. They may end up with a miata and be at Hallet as well, lol.
Here you go, jeff_man.

The flames did not show up on the video.
This is the giant Billy Sims bobblehead we saw on Friday night at Billy Sims BBQ... the fro was bigger than a basketball... ::Banana::

I think Billy should have stuck with football instead of Boomer-Q!!
Here's my fastest lap.

Could not put together one good lap to get into 1:39, there's what next year is for. :D
What a great event. The Friday open track day was perfect for a first timer. Steady improvement with more to learn. I am already committed for next year. Thanks Doug for hauling my tires. If you need someone to teach you how to go off safely, Dan is your man.
+1 on the chase session - I'd love to see it.
Another fantastic time at Hallett! Friday afternoon was awesome, as usual. Relaxed atmosphere, little traffic unless you wanted it, tons of track time. Thanks to miataspeedracer for a taste of the boost. My wallet is in trouble now...
In other wallet-damaging news, the FM Cosworth NC was a pretty nice ride, and all the NCs at the track are looking really fast these days. Trackdog's winning blue car put down some pretty serious times!
Saturday was tons of fun as well - and group 5 gets faster and faster every year. Mr. BRG's car was awesome - even the 435hp LS2-powered NA ::rock:: had a hard time pulling away on the straights. Wags keeps getting faster, too, putting down a 1:27 in the green car.
I'm not getting much faster, but it was a clean weekend with no spins, no offs, and the car is in one piece. Maybe not trying hard enough...
Thanks to the Arkansas Miata Club for putting on the event and to all the DFW Miata crew for helping make it so enjoyable. Already have the weekend marked off for next year.
Whoa, old school stuff:
Back when I my best time was a 1:40.1

today with a 1:28.5:

Nice vid Jeff.
With help from SixAce and maybe others, we shot a lot of photos. Up to 10 fps with the camera didn't hurt the count.
Here are 624 of them. There might be one of you or your car in there somewhere.
Wow that's alot of great photos! I saw there was a buy option. Do you get the money for those or is that smug mug's doing? I smiled when I saw the one of the resident photographer. Your photos are as good if not better.
+1 on the "great photos" from cone-cerned (except for the ones with the red-bearded dork in them)
SixAce's video rocks, too. i need to learn how to edit my videos like that...
it was awesome to finally meet a bunch of you frequent forum users (cone-cerned, SixAce, bnordin, Sharpie, BlackRoadster, and many more) also, thanks to several of you for helping me suck less at getting around hallett! that was my first time there, and like bnordin, i'm ready for next year
