On-line registration for the FTW round of the National Tour schedule is now open.
I'm in. Just go to www.scca.com.
I'm in but what class do I register in? Hrmm...
P.S. jrj512 your new avatar is incredibly creepy
Hey guys, while you are at it, contact Texas Driving Experience and sign up for the track practice day on the Roval (oval and road course tied together) that will be offered on Thursday prior to Friday's opening day for the Tour.
Contact Dawn at [email protected] for more info. I have run this thing in the past and you get lots of seat time, your own run groups with other streetable cars, and you don't have to sit through the ground school unless you just want to. You can get 4 heats of 30 minutes each, two full hours of tracktime on a 2.4 mile track...fun stuff! Cost is 225.00 for the entire day...
I registered for both the Newport AR ProSolo (4/12) and the FTW National Tour (5/3). Gonna be a BIG year!
Who knows when they post the run schedule? In both cases, I said I'd be there both days to help, I just wanna know when I'll run...
Run/Work schedule is usually posted about two weeks in advance of the event.
Is it at the bus lot or road course?
Looks like there is some good contingency $$$ for the ProSolos and National Tours this year!

Anybody know about Divisional events yet? I think I read that one near Baton Rouge is scheduled - what about TX?
Divisionals:
The last info I had from the Divisional Steward was one in June (Houston Region). One in July (Spokes/Austin Region at Texas A&M). One in August (Texas Region - TMS Bus lot).
Final dates are still being nailed down with the event site(s) management.
The Pearsall event is being replaced with the A&M event with the hopes for better attendance.
From the Ft Worth National Tour Entry List:
Jan, Jerret - ES #72
Sponsor: dfwmiata.com / Clyde Torkle's Chicken Pit
With a sponsor combination like that, how can you go wrong??
I Love it!
Fastest chicken in the south! I guess I need a magnet like this...

Ok, you Bums.
Time to sign-up for the Tour!
Where are all the B-Stock guys??
I've been signed up forever!
Where are the rest of your little buddies?
Just a little teaser about the Tour event:
Greg Piper's course for the event has been approved by the National Staff. I think he used just about every square inch of the Bus lot in his design.
We're closing the street in between the bus lot & the paddock area so we can use the street for Grid. This gave Greg even more area for his course!
I think people are going to be plesantly suprised at the course design!!:burnrubr:
I'm registered
Wow!
At this rate Super Stock will have to have their own heat!
I'm registered in STS...all the way from KY, so you locals need to climb on board...:drive:
Big News about the Texas National Tour on May 3/4!!
The SCCA National Office has decided to waive the $15 "weekend membership" fee for non-SCCA folks that are members of an independent car club (such as the Miata Car Club).
The normal $80 entry fee still applies along with the normal late fees.
Entry includes:
2 days of "National Level" autocrossing (with each day's quickest time being used for cumuliative scoring).
Entry to Fridays Party & Dinner.
Entry to Saturdays catered BBQ dinner/party.
FREE Beer & Margaritas at both parties!
Entries must be FAXed to the National Office along with proof of membership to an independent car club. Entry with this special can NOT be done online.
Online PDF entry forms can be found at:
http://www.scca.com/documents/Solo_E...8TourEntry.pdf
If you're interested , hurry to avoid the late fees!
Entry List! ::Afro::
Entry Form! (pdf)
I registered online. Do I still need to print and submit the paper form?
Eight registered in E stock. There will be nine when Rick C. realizes that he doesn't have a chance in A Mod with a '94 Miata, even if it is an R package.
I'd love to come, but that is smack dab in the middle of finals week for me. :(
Gimme a break! I can count on one apendage the number of Nat Tours I've attended.
and thanks for the info.
Congrats on your pending graduation!
Just a reminder to anyone that is waiting to the last minute to register for the Tour Event:
Starting Monday, April 28th, late fees apply.
Wednesday, April 30th the late fee increases yet again! You can do a "walk-up" registration on Friday evening, but increasing late fees make that an expensive option.
Avoid the late fee mess & register before Monday, April 28th!!
As a side note, please take a moment & read the schedule on the Texas Region webpage. Even if you do preregister for the Tour, you need to do a registration "check-in" & Tech inspection on Friday, May 2nd!! Also, you will want to walk the courses on that same evening if you have time.
You can do late pre-registration check-in on Saturday morning, but you will be very hurried to get your tech done & course walk in before the drivers meeting & competition runs begin. (Plus you would miss the Friday night party & food....& beer)
Make sure you check the Schedule before Friday so you know what's happening!!
Woot! I'm finally registered for this one. Big thanks to rpmchris for letting me co-drive his MX-5 in CSP!
