Are any of you guys going to do the March 2 practice session at TMS?
That will be the first weekend with the new house, so probably not. Plus, I will already have spent Saturday at the BMW CCA event on 3/1.
The practice is open to the 1st 50 people that lay down their $$$$.
New registration site is:

Wow!
I'm too cheap for this one, you kids have fun. ;-)Quote:
Entry Fee:$50.00
Cost-Non Members:$50.00
Looks like 11 people signed up so far, I think I need to do this. I have 0 seat time in the Elise and will be diving head first into SS.

I was afraid that a $50 price tag would seem high to a lot of folks when we set it... but think of it this way:
It's like paying for 2 events, but getting 10 events (or more) worth of runs!
You'll be able to run 'till you're out of gas, tires, or energy, whichever comes first. And the bus lot is easy on tires!
There will be 3 distinct features to this practice:
Short/Med Short practice course. Probably shag your own cones, but we'll see how that works out.
Multiplel diameter skid pad. Not sure if those camber adjustments you made over the winter worked out like you thought? Here's the place to test them. don't forget your pyrometer.
And - we're going to have the mother of all slaloms set up just like last year - 12 or 13 cones equally spaced along the site edge that borders 114. You will be great at slaloms after running that thing a few times.
Just my $.02 (and trying to plug the practice...)
I'm in.
Mini will stay until Nationals. Don't know about spot #3 in the garage.
I'm registered
What class is a 1999 Honda CR-V?
;)
I was thinking more along the lines of "NO" class...
:punchout:
Who is the contact for this event? I have a friend that will be in town that weekend and was wondering if I could let him take a couple of my runs. That would enable me to 'entice' him away from other things and still get some serious practice.
Steve E.
Sorry, but we can't allow non-registered drivers to participate. Your friend can ride along with you after signing the insurance waiver, but to drive he'll have to register.

I'm in. Matt talked me into it!
I'm in. I need my car Mr. Rogue.::Hyper::
Looks like rain for Sunday :( Wet skidpad! ::Banana::
Rain moved to Sunday night or Monday!
::nono::::Rain::
The cones were wet when they were put in the trailer, but they were only rained on after the event.
Not sure what happened to ken o, but I saw him in his car but not running.
Never saw the originator of this thread, and I had his winnings from last year
Man! It was windy all day.
A very worthwhile day. I had fun. I learned some things. I heat cycled my new V710's, but it wasn't easy on the cool bus lot. My old RA-1's had a surprising amoung of grip. I changed tires 5 times, RA-1's, V710's, rotate V710's, RA-1's, RT-615's.
Good times! This event was totally worth the money. Cosmos's girlfriend co-drove with me and really stepped it up. Poor girl, I think she's hooked on the R-comp crack pipe now! ;)
Big thanks to cone-cerned for letting me drive his car for a few runs. It definitely helped me remember why I like Miatas so much.
New SSRs I got are for the older 12mm studs not the new 14mm ones. Would not fit and I did not want to take a drill to $1,300 in brand new wheels.
I had a great time.... I really enjoyed the slalom. I think I went about 20times, even though I did call it a day early. The family was at home so I went an hung out with them.. oh and priced a new wheel bearing.... Ouch!
Pretty good day, I was exhausted by the end. Big thanks to Conecerned for the patch on that screw in my tire, I never knew fixing a tire on the spot could be that quick and easy.
