Drum roll ...... BAM! @ NTB in Grapevine
I just use a local immigrant-owned-was-a-gas-station-but-is-now-a-cheap-tire-store. They mount and balance mine for $10 each.
When I used NTB, they were nice enough to tack on some BS fees, similar to a 'fuel surcharge'.
I got my last set done at Walmart. No complaints and it was cheap.
WM couldn't do my OEM 195/50/15, too low profile. :WTF:
Discount wanted $20+ to put my tires on bare rims, and was a prick to boot.
I don't shop at discount anymore, and thats been over 5 years so far.
I don't pay more than $10, and use a small tire store as well.
They always have treated me nice, even when I showed up at nearly closing.
Paul, You should be able to find a shop out your way.
Just don't let them impact them on! :O
Does Titus have his machine up and running yet?
Yes, and that is the plan. Just too many things I want to do and only so many hours in the day. Right now, I would settle for getting the shop all unpacked and getting some overhead lighting installed. When I consider the fact it will take more time and money (granted not that much) to get power to it, the thing takes up a big chunk of space in a shop that is already smaller then I would prefer, I will still have to pay a shop to mount the tires before I can balance them, and it could be flipped for what I paid for it to finance other shop stuff (or the mounting and balancing of a dozen sets of tires at my local I.O.W.A.G.S.B.I.N.A.C.T.S.), I'm just not convinced that buying it was one of my better decisions. :punchout:
Below is a picture of how I have spent the last 3 weekends and way too much coin. Can easily be assembled in 4-8 hours MY ASS!

Nice fort! I built one similar for my kids many years ago, and they definitely take more than 4-8 hours to construct!!
Yea but Titus doesn't have kids. That's the mother-in-law's guest house.
OK, there's a Taqueria down the street. Should be a tire shop next door.
Got them mounted today at a little shop. They mounted low profile directional tires, lined up the dots, installed valve stems and spin balance with sticky weights for $12.00 each and didn't even mark the wheels. In and out in 20 minutes. You guys are right, I don't think I will ever buy tires at a "tire store" again. I got these from Edge Racing, had to pay shipping but no sales tax, fet, tire disposal fee or any other BS.
Out by my lake place in Mineola, Tx. Fishing this weekend.:D

I must live right. So far no problems with the local D T of T. I think a lot of it has to do with who's running the store. The ass't mgr. at the Waxahachie, TX store is both a biker and a hot rod freak. Greg spent hours on the web with me before I finally settled on new rims for the NC. Then he beat the best price I found on the web by $5.00 a wheel. No freight cgs. N/c for mounting either. $7.00 per wheel for balance. Can't ask for better. Now the DT-T in Mansfield ?!? ::turd:: Don't ask ............... ::Censor:: (where's the smilie for vomit ? )
