That happen in the parking lot at work?
Hit and run? That sucks
It happened in a parking lot - and I was parked...she was VERY sorry and has insurance, her insurance company already called me, claimed responsibility and assigned a claim number, she called them, I didn't.
But I said to her, trying HARD to be NICE and NOT sarcastic, "let me guess, you didn't see me..."
She said "yes, I am so sorry, but (she said BUT - like it was my fault) you're car is so little..." And then when I get back to work, I get called into my bosses office for being late back from lunch.
*sigh*
Well at least you got the pertinent info so it won't cost you to fix it. Sorry.
That sucks, :(
A F-250 got me a few years ago just like that.
Johnwag doesn't happen to have a good 10AE fender does he?
Judging from the height, I would say SUV backing out of a spot?
OW! That sucks, but at least she's got insurance...
how does someone not see a car parked when they are trying to park next to it....
Sad to hear, sorry.
Glad you didn't end up the victim of a hit and run. Did the boss ease up when you told him what happened?
3rd time I've been hit in this car. 1st time only had it a month or two, was rearended on 635, 2nd time just about 6 weeks ago - sideswiped on 75 - turned into my lane "didn't see me", adjustor came out to where I took my car and "polished" the fender and got all the other cars paint off and said "there's no damage - the ding that is there was there before" BULL@@@@@! Still working on that one.
And now this...so I carry a camera with me and I took pictures on the spot of my car and her car...she probably thought I was a freak.
Boss eased up a bit...but didn't tell him until after the meeting, sent him the same picture.
That sux. At least they have insurance and owned up to it.
Sorry to see that, damage looks like it could have been much worse, it looks like you'll just need the fender so it shouldn't a huge pain.
I feel your pain. Last night I had to get my Miata totally off the road to avoid a head on collision (car was passing on a curve on a two-lane road), and this morning on the way to work TWO different vehicles almost took me out changing lanes. What surprised me was that even when I honked my Nautilus air horn they did not get back in their lane.
Not too bad, sad to hear though. The same happened to my driver side rear quarter panel this summer, however I was not there and they took off. ::Rant::
That is what I call "offensive driving" instead of "defensive driving". These days I flash my headlight a lot to warn those idiots not to even think about cutting in. I have learned to look out for them besides for myself.
Yea but she was parked. Not much you can do about that.
!@#$%^&*((*&^%$#@!
I feel your pain.
My blue car was hit by a woman backing out of a driveway, a bus, a jeep, and a truck. Last time was while parked. We refered to it as "Blue car syndrome"

Those are the only 2 accidents I have pics of, lol
Sorry Cara. I'm using my minor incident as a chance to upgrade. Looks like minor damage and easily repaired.
You're safe and that's the most important thing.
Just a crappy day. I am just tired of hearing people say "they didn't see me"...if they don't see me, they just aren't paying attention. Here is another picture, she pulled away from my car but you can see how much room there is between me and the parked cars...she must have whipped out of her spot and just didn't look. Nobody was hurt...she wasn't a bitch about it or anyting...and the insurance company has already called me. I just don't want any bondo on my car...
Thanks for the thoughts...I'm just being whiney....

She surely would've seen you... that's BS!
Um, was she hot?::Banana::
Insurance should spring for a new fender. Make sure to demand that the body shop buys an OEM part from Mazda. Ask to see the invoice for the part and ask that they hang onto the old fender for you to see after the repair.
Hardest part is to find a body shop that can get a close match to the factory stone guard on the bottom part of the fender. A good body man should be able to make the repair as good as new.
Yep, just reach on up there and bend her over lol.
She was not lying when she told you that she did not see you, she just failed to tell you that she did not look!
exactly! it's not like I had JUST pulled over there...I was there for a minute or two..anyway...
Yes I need advice on how to fix this..I DO NOT WANT BONDO!! So does this look repairable or in your opinions, should it be replaced???
Was thinking about Road Runner body shop in Richardson...but have heard bad stories recently...not sure I trust them. In the past I've used North Dallas Roadster body shop - they did a good job on my back bumper...
At least it looks easily repairable, glad you are OK
Let's find out how Darron's 10AE came out from my neighbor Brian. The shop is in Denton, but if he does a good job matching the paint it may be worth it.
It's cheaper to put a new fender on than to bondo...
Maybe you need one of these:
