Is there a group who meets on the West Side (ie West of Dallas)? If so, when and where?
If not - let's get one going, at least once a month somewhere. I'm in southwest Arlington but would go most places in the HEB/Ft Worth/Arlington area.

Is there a Rudy's BBQ anywhere in the mid-cities?
Don't know of any Rudy's other than one in Lubbock. We got a Risky's.

I'm a definite maybe. Depending on the date.
Not to rain on anyone's parade, but I think many people who show-up to Keller's do so specifically because it is car-centric. You hang-out by the cars, look at the cars, etc. I can't speak for anyone else, but I wouldn't have much interest in a GTG that is indoors and away from the cars. That's why the Jake's suggestion was interesting: they have a huge patio in front of the parking lot that has a gate you can wander in and out of. I'm happy to go anywhere in DFW, but it needs to be car-friendly. I can drink overpriced beer anywhere.
what about at a sonic?
Heck get in the car and run over to Dallas to Keller's, I went to yesterday's GTG and it was lots of fun! :1Place:
How about Twin Peaks near 183/Bedford Road, next to Fuddruckers? Looks interesting......
Some of the peaks at that location are kinda weathered.
Can I suggest a Grapevine location so some of us East side folks can attend?
If it's a Friday night I'm game for something in the mid-cities though.
I say Sonic in Grapevine on a Sat night.

Rosa's Tortilla Factory at the corner of Precinct and Harwood (in Hurst) has a nice size parking lot, outdoor covered eating area and inexpensive food.

The vette group is full of nice people, some of us also have miatas.
Any other day I'd be a definite as this Rosa's is only about a mile from my house. unfortunately I'm having knee surgery on Tuesday and probably still won't be mobile enough to make it on Wednesday.Quote:

Gotta forgive me about the mistake. I've only lived here 41 years now and traveled up and down 26 a few hundred times. (I worked security at an insurance building that used to be on the Southwest corner of 26 and Precinct).

If it is a choice between Keller's and Rosa's on Wednesday I'd make the drive to Keller's.

Rosa's does nothing for me either. Plus it's not that fun driving the whole 2.7 miles to get there.
Yeah, we probably shouldn't go and scare the Vette boys on their home turf. Still, it'd be fun to surround them with a 30-Miata Posse.
Maybe we can plan a little farther ahead and get one organized to try this location, maybe another night of the week. It'd be kinda groovy to have TWO standing GTG's to choose from on any given week!
No cheap burgers or standing around drinking a cold one in Rosa's parking lot either. (But it is close! :cat: )
