TDR@MSR Photos

I took some photos when I had time between my runs on the 1.3. I've got a 10GB of them, but here is a few of what I liked the best. Mostly of people I know or cars that looked good.

Stumpy - with the instructor from hell. Come on guy. Stumps only got 94 HP in a bone stock '90 and that lug wouldn't get out the passenger seat all day.

I agree with with 2K Miata. I absolutely loved Andy's TDR mule (I personally don't know Andy). That car was fast. I am the spec miata behind Andy with a yellow cage in a black miata. Andy had a few skills.... Is the yellow on Andy's car a Mazda color or aftermarket?

The yellow car belongs to Gary@TDR. Andy is a customer of Gary's that comes over from Scotland several times a year and he borrowed the yellow car for the day. The car originally was a 94 White Sport which was repainted in Mazda HZ (Sunburst Yellow). It Scotland andy has a supercharged NA Miata which he does track days with. I think his username is rockdoc on this forum?

Sorry I don't think I got any of you. I was driving the 1.3 and didn't get a chance to get pictures of all the groups. The pro photographer down there will have a good selection of shots of you and they get the best angles because they are not limited to the pit wall.

Great pics Mike! :clap: Any chance you caught one of me, same rungroup as Mr. BRG, Andy, and jeff_man. I'm in the solid black NA (no numbers,etc) with hardtop (see avatar).

Very cool to see these. Funny thing, when I watch the vids, my right foot stll pushes down...

LOL, posted to the vid thread. Yours is dark blue w/bronze TE37's correct? It was you I had in mind. I've been on the fence between super and turbo, saw lots of nice setups of both and got to see them in action too.

The day made up my mind for me...soon to come, more fun...:burnrubr:

ya that's me, super and turbo are both very nice, Gary just has grate customer care so he won my wreck money.

sorry back story is needed, i was tboned on a bike. I payed Gary for the install and parts with the wreck money, and like i said his customer servis was the biggest factor in going supercharger over turbo

Jeff was clipped while riding his motorcycle a few months back. Was pretty serious and he got some insurance cash for it. I'm guessing he gave a bit to Gary to fix his car up. Still though, not anyone can jump into a car built like that and do so well on the track.

There's a good chance he has a crapton pictures of your car, since he told me he took a bunch of pictures of a black car with a black hardtop that wasn't mine! :D

I made changes to my car that he hadn't seen. I'm guessing he has lots of pics of your car.

Hi Mike,

Do you happen to have a red miata without hardtop and rollbar, on silver 6UL wheels?

I was in the advance group for the last 2 seessions, intermediate for prior sessions.

I put up a contact sheet of the photos that are available from the event.

I mostly took pictures of people's cars that I know. So I didn't take pictures of everyone out there. I was also having fun driving the other track :burnrubr: And with only a 1/2 hour break between runs I only shot a couple of the TDR sessions before lunch and after 4:30.

A big thanks to Apex2Apex. I appreciate you posting the pics. I am in the black spec miata chasing Steve Wolff in the red 81 spec(another instructor). That was a lot of fun. The corner workers just let us "play". That Steve sure can drive.:drive: He said we were running in the mid 1:26s...

It's a Mazdaspeed decal. The car used to be a B Stock SCCA autocross car, and that decal is required for National events. The car belongs to Jon W. (often referred to as lugnutjon on this site). Jon was instructing at the event.
