New thread here (since POS can't hang ::Banana::).
Gonna have to miss this one. Flying up ot NYC Saturday morning and won't be back until Monday evening late.
::Cricket:
If it is the 19th, I am out, as we have some old friends in town for the day. If you do the 20th, and end up doing something that allows me to get home around 2:30, I would be in. You sure you can't be talked into a shorter trip, perhaps up to Tioga?
As fun as this sounds, Christmas parties on both nights make it highly unlikely I'll be doing anything early in the morning this weekend.
I could be talked into a shorter trip on Sunday this time around... baby steps.
I would really like to do this some time, but I will be out of town this weekend.
Since Woodbine is so close to Tioga, the wife and I are a very strong possibility for lunch on the 20th.
I could be talked into Clark's on Sunday.
What are the chances that I'll end up in jail on this trip?
20th works for me.
We should be able to swing Tioga on Sunday.
Maybe some of us westsiders could start out and go up to pick up D&Z, then head over. ::Bulb::
I'm most likely out... I have to finish up an arcade game for someone that wants it for a Christmas present.
I'm probably going to join ya'll for this and Cara probably won't. If it's colder than 45 I'm out.
I'm a maybe... :queen: says I have to take the boys out of the house one or both days this weekend. Still wondering how to get 2 child seats in the Miata. ;)
Any route suggestions for us East Siders? I take it some of y'all have made this run before...
Take Hwy 75 to FM121 at Van Alstyne and hang a left. Run up through gunter and on over to Tioga at hwy 377. Hang a left on 377 back south and it is a couple of blocks on the left.
Either that or you can take FM455 to Pilot point and then head up to on hwy377 Tioga.
Or on 380 in Denton, you can hit hwy 377 and keep heading north from Pilot point on up to Tioga.
FM 455 is prety twisted. The cops have figured that out as well, and it was under construction between Celina and Anna a couple of years ago(the last time I went on it).
Trying to get a sitter for Sunday so we can go.
Damn. I have to go out of town........ :|
I'd love to go, but Kate and I have 3 Christmas parties to attend Sunday, so we're pretty booked.
So did i miss it what day have yall decided on?
Did I miss the part where we decided on the date/time? I'll vote for Sunday but Saturday can work too.
My wife and I are definitely in for Sunday. We will meet everyone at Clark's Outpost. What time will the group arrive at Clark's?
Where: Clark's Outpost in Tioga
When: Sunday, noonish (at Clark's)
As for getting there, it probably makes sense to meet up in Allen or McKinney and go from there (Nails? BR?). So the only thing we need to nail down is when to meet up for the drive out. 11-11:30?
I'm thinking about taking the long way home if I still need a driving fix.
I've got a good route (no gravel roads) from Allen but won't post it publicly. I can lead it if ya want and it will take 1:45-2:00 to get there so if we left at 10 we should be good. Someone else can lead a post lunch route round Roberts for the people joining us in Tioga.
My route is similar to Ricks.
But curvier.
trickyrix try this - http://forums.dfwmiata.com/images/fi.../newthread.gif
;)
Umm
It's not like I'm a stingy bastard or something I just feel slightly paranoid posting my route on here for law enforcement or wannabes to try and intercept us. PM or email me and I'll send it to ya. Or somebody else can lead a route; makes no difference to me as long as we have a run.
I'd prefer to meet in McKinney so we don't have to back track to Allen but Trina and I are definitely in Sunday. ::Banana::
Or we could meet in Celina so Tim the Teacher doesn't have to back track.
A third of my 84 mile route is from Allen to McKinney.
