I plan on going, anybody else?

I have seen 3 of the courses they may use, 2 of them look good. The one I don't like has a pivot cone. I hate pivot cones.

I plan to be there. Regardless of the course, I will be there early to help set it up.
I know the course with the pivot cone (I designed it) and it presents an interesting challenge because you have to determine the best line with little to assist you. The same turn could have cones for a line that is more defined and you would not complain. By not having any definition, then it is up to you to determine the line and make yourself abide by it -- the pivot cone will pull you in at the wrong place. Embrace the pivot cone. Be the pivot cone. Smoke the pivot cone. Only then will you become a PCA autocrosser.
It is not always an actual pivot that you must do around the cone. It just depends on the course. I agree that a course where you must actually hand-brake around the cone is not preferred.
Whichever course they use, it should be a fun day. All three look like they will be fun.
I'm in and I am bringing a buddy in a MGB GT (if it is running)! Should be fun, hope Travis will post the course in advance.
I like pivot cones at the Bus Lot, but not so much at PMS. I won't be able to join you guys at the PCA event, though:(
I'll be there too. Are the courses posted online? Couldn't find them. Cool it's not on Sunday so I can catch the end (of some cars) at the Lemons race.
how much are these events?
$30 for non-PCA members and $25 for members if you pre-register at www.clubregistration.net. I think it is $5 more on site.
Count me in!
I need to make one of these for Sunday.

Be sure to wear the socks, too!
Here is the course map I was sent. The A/X chair could change her mind, but as far as I know this will be the couse. One thing I'm sure of is it will be HOT.

That appears to be Robert's course. Congrats! I will be there to help you set it up.
How many runs at PCA events?
Course looks interesting. Just 1 time around the loop with optional direction on slalom? And do we have to do that abrupt reverse that is shown on left side of loop ;)?
Registered... See you there.
Yep, my course. Once around the loop, optional slalom.
jrj512 your help with setup will be very much appreciated. We all know that no matter how good or bad it looks on paper how it's setup can make all the difference, and your setup experience will help a lot.
Ok, signed up but its going to be hot. Let me know who I need to bribe to work corner 3. I will bring cash.
Good course, Robert! We only made a few minor changes to the original design during setup. It was hot, but a fun day with ten runs.
I think only the stoopid Vette driven by Wortham and Yamada (or was it Hiromoto -- it's hard to tell the difference) was faster than me, so I am happy.
Robert,
I really liked the course, it flowed very well. It was hot, I miss winter.
Jerrett - what'd you end-up with as your fastest run?
Thanks guys.
I think the course turned out to be a good mix of tight sections (but not so tight to be painful) and sections you could get a little speed on.
I enjoyed the event, we had a nice breeze that kept it bearable.
Great job with the course Robert, it was fun! It definitely paid to be patient with the loud pedal on this course.
Speaking of the loud pedal... I decided to play around with an external mic to get better sound in my videos. I had it taped to the rear bumper pointed down at the exhaust. I think it came out pretty cool!

That was my fastest run - a 34.7x I think.
Wow, that course was a handful for Vette drivers! The exhaust was cool.
Nice run.
For some reason my camera didn't record any of my afternoon runs... All I got was video of it sitting on side street not running.
I did not. I think the cursing would have sounded the same however.
I also should thank Ken again for the electrical tape so I wouldn't have a repeat of the morning in the afternoon.
Didn't want to have a "Nathan Lap" in the afternoon.
Would love to see results...
C'mon PCA - over a week and still no results?
