No affiliation. Pretty cheap for what it is. Even if it's in kinda rough condition.

CRAP. I'm not quite in the market yet... :(
I've been trying to see it for three days. The seller is a broker (curbstoner) and the owner flakes out.
I've been interested in hearing more about this series of ads. Although it is very high mileage, if it is an LE, then it's a nice price. This guy has put up several ads with various prices, some describing the car as "black with red interior", one with "gold bbs wheels"; none of them mention LE. He refuses to take/post any pictures. The guys sounds absolutely desperate to sell. But I've just been thinking, "if it sounds too good...".
I hope someone gets a nice LE out of it. I'd be interested if the wife would allow me a second miata.
Regards.
As far as I can tell, it's a scam. The seller is brokering the car for somebody else.
I've tried to go see it. The car was "on it's way" there when he called me to come see it. I arrived at his place 15 minutes after it should have arrived, and waited around another 15 minutes. But it never arrived. When I call back, the seller says he doesn't know where the car or it's current owner is. When friends call back, he's happy to set up a viewing time for them. The address is in the industrial section of Dallas in a sketchy commercial complex.
He's told me that the owner NEEDS to sell it quick, that the owner has lots of cars and just needs space, and that the owner owns a lot of bars around Walnut Hill.
Then you arrive with cash and get robbed?
Unless you are 6'3" and as large as I am, have a friend with you, and carry any time you have real cash on you. Then you just get the brush-off.
Guess I'm glad I'm not looking yet then.
Looks/sounds very sketchy to me. I say we all bombard him with calls and make fake appointments to see the car...
UPDATE: For shits and grins, I called the number in the ad but didn't leave a message. Well, some guy called me back and I talked to him for a bit. The situation sounds sketchy, inasmuch as the "seller" knows nothing about the car and can't seem to reliably reach the "owner" of the car. He does claim that it has a clear Texas title. I'm just curious enough that I kinda want to see how rough this thing is, but I'm not going to drive across town to wait on a car that probably won't show up. He says he'll call me back as soon as he hears from the owner... we'll see.
Maybe I'll tell him to meet me with the car after work at the corner of Illinois and Westmoreland... ;)
The "seller" just called me back... and wanted me to meet him at 11456 Harry Hines in 30 minutes. HA!
Anyhow... if anyone's over on that side of town, the car will allegedly be there all day - that's the "owner's" work address. I told him he was making it a pain in the ass for anyone to actually see this car.
Reposted with pics at +$250!
Looks fairly ragged to me...

1993 Mazda Miata Black w/Red Leather interior!
A little rough but definitely worth the price for this model!
Everything works as it should, A/C blows cold, lights work, 5 spd manual shifts smoothly and it's tagged & inspected until May of next year!
Take a look at the photo's and call me with any ?'s

I"m gonna go try to look at it tomorrow.
Definitely check those seats underneath. Could be all good or horribly wrong.
Oh... salvage or clean title?
Regards.
[edit] Uh oh. Someone has tipped him off that it's a VVVROOM! RARE LE. Now he wants $1750. Apparently the VVVROOM is worth $250 extra.
Bring a CD and check that the CD player in the stereo works.
A table shower sounds nice.
Another one popped up in Houston. Looks MUCH better for $2150

Really? These are things that he thinks make it "special"?
High Gloss Black Paint (not after 17 years, and you can see the dirt on the car)
Special badging on door jambs and elsewhere in the vehicle (uh....so?)
I was gonna meet up with him yesterday but our schedules conflicted I think he got upset so he told me its sold...
