See what the bids are on ebay for similar bikes. Blue Book is garbage. Most bikes right now are tanking in value and now is a buyer's market.
Nails don't you have a cruiser? What do you got??

www.nada.com ..............also ck cycle trader online. Between the two you will get a good idea of the value.
Does Texas do stated value on Motorcycle sales like they do on cars when you go to register the bike?

Just like miatas the value of used bikes varies with the seasonal weather. Next week would be prime time to go bike shopping. Around mid January the used bike market will get a lot more competitive as people start getting their tax refunds.

craigslist is the place to shop, motorcycles are wayyy cheap now and you can talk folks wayyy down if you donit mind looking and sending out lots of e-mails and or taveling a couple hundred miles for the right deal.
