Who will I see there?
I'll be there. Gonna try to pull a J-Fo: I'll be coming back from Frankfurt via London on Saturday afternoon... OK so it's not exactly Argentina and it's not exactly the same morning of the event.... but maybe there's some airport Mojo for me, too! X Class watch out!
Didn't we run that course at PMS? ;))
Here I was thinking it looked a lot like the last course we ran at LSP.
I think I'll be there. Depends on what Mr. Car Owner is doing.
Poor Jimmy can only do so much with his Etch a Sketch....

;)
Mr. Car Owner will be there. Gonna pass on MW, as much as I love BMW events.
I forgot about the time change for event #1... I'll try to be on time this time!
See you all there!
April 10th Event Schedule:
7:30am - 8:30am Registration & Tech Inspection Open
8:00am - 9:00am Course open for walking
8:40am (approx) Novice Walk Thru
9:00am (approx) Mandatory Drivers Meeting
9:30am (approx) 1st heat Drivers in Grid, 1st heat Workers on course, First Car Out!
Please Note :
If this will be your first event with Texas Region SCCA, please be at the site by 7:30am! This gives you time to get registration taken care of, Tech your car & have plenty of time to walk the course.
We are moving up the Novice Walk Thru to 8:30am. Anyone may tag along with Tommy Saunders & the Novice group for tips/pointers. If you are a Novice, we highly recommend that you do the walk thru with Tommy. In addition to Tips & Pointers about the course & autocrossing, basic items such as course penalties are covered at the end of the walk thru. Items such as the cone “down & out” rule are covered. As a way to cut down the amount of time during the Drivers Meeting, basic items such as the cone penalties will covered in the novice group & not in the general Drivers Meeting.
Also, a very helpful guide to a day of autocrossing with SCCA:

**Reminder - Everyone on site MUST sign the insurance waiver & get a wristband. Minor waivers will be available for anyone under 18 accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
2011 Discount Tire Contingency Program
A couple of changes in the Discount Tire Contingency Program for 2011 -
Todd Eaddy and Discount Tire are again sponsoring SCCA events again this year
by giving away FREE TIRES!
2011 Contingencies:
Hoosier – buy 2, get 2 free
Kumho – four free
Falken – four free
Yokohama – four free up to $500 retail value
For each event that you use Hoosier, Kumho, Falken or Yokohama tires, you can enter the drawing for FREE tires to be given away at the end of the year.
For 2011 this program is on the “Honor System”. Please follow the guidelines below:
All you have to do to qualify is:
· Sign up at the Discount Tire Tire Contingency Program Entry area near Tech Inspection in the morning while Tech is open.
· Write your name, class/car #, event date, tire brand and phone number on the back the provided Discount Tire business card. (A marked Tool Box will be located in Tech to place your filled out cards.)
· Entries will not be accepted after Tech closes! No exceptions!
· One entry per person, per event. Entries will not be accepted for previous or future events.
· Put the correct Hoosier, Kumho, Falken, or Yokohama decals and the Discount Tire decals on both sides of your car. (**Decals will be spot-check throughout the day!)
· Run with these decals on your car and YOU might win FREE tires at the end of the season!
The club will have a drawing at the final event of the season to determine the winners.
You may only win once per year, even if your name is drawn by multiple participating clubs, or for different tire brands.
**New for 2011: Winners must have proof of purchase of specified tire purchased thru Discount Tire.
Tires will be awarded at the end of the year as per Todd Eaddy’s agreement(s) with each participating tire manufacturer.
Tires must be ordered from Todd Eaddy & received by December 15th in the same year you win the tires.
Show your support for and thanks to Todd Eaddy and Discount Tire by buying your racing and street tires from Todd! He’s at the Plano store located at: 8700 Ohio DrivePlanoTX75024

Mr Jerrett Jan... "master of courses" did another fine job today!!
Hope everyone had as much fun as I did today!!!
I had a great time!
I applaud everyone in E Stock for 2 reasons:
1. Pushing cone-cerned to drive to his potential
2. never mind
Darn Doug and his cheater tires! ::Rant:: ;)
It was a good day!
Since I was told by several people that I was mean I'd like to offer the following advice; if the guy working control during heat 2 hurt your feelings or made you sad you shouldn't be holding the radio! ;)
But in all seriousness one heck of a job by the guy with the radio on corner 4 I could tell at the start of the heat he was new to operating the radio but by the end of the heat he was a weathered and seasoned veteran! Also big thanks to the guys on corner 3 that were keeping an eye on the guys in corner four! As well as the fine job the rest of hard working crew did during heat 2!
And here is a random thought if SCCA Safety folks don't like the way things are going on a corner maybe they could get out of a chair and go to the source of the problem and share some knowledge.

We don't need no stinkin' side sills :( Notably, once it was removed, we hit no more cones on that side - go figure. Challenging course for sure!
Had a blast at this event! Great job to everyone working and driving!
Much props to jrj512 for another great course! One of his best to date, IMO.
Solo RX-7 was wicked fast on Sunday, but couldn't stay out of the cones. Remember Matt, the car is WIDE!!!
Did anyone take any photos out there?
Grassy knoll... a second photographer theory too!
Holding them ransom!
$1 million dollars in small un-marked bills... Non-sequential serial numbers!
