Dallas Karting Complex Race Day! - Saturday, June 25th

Let's do it again!

OK, so you missed out on all the fun we had Memorial Day weekend at the Dallas Karting Complex. Well, here's you chance to redeem yourself.

The brand new Dallas Karting complex is now open for business!

I'm trying to get the same deal that we got on Memorial Day: $60/person for three sessions - one practice, one qualifying, and then one ten-lap race with a rolling start. Should be about 45 minutes total seat time, give or take, all in the 15 horsepower adult karts.

Please try to be there at 10am. If you've never been there before, you'll have to fill out a profile, and it will take awhile to get everyone paid and grouped up in the system. My hope is that we can have the first practice group on track by about 10:30 am.

Driver's suits are not required, and Mike said that long sleeves/pants are not required either... although I'd recommend a pair of jeans at least. Closed toe shoes are required. You can bring your own helmet or use one of their loaners, although you'll have to bring/buy a headsock if you use one of theirs.

We need a minimum of ten people to get the the group rate and guaranteed races.

Yep, but I don't think they've got as many as they do karts, so if you see one, grab one (that's what I did).

Well, let's think about that - last time it took four hours for everyone to run. They close at 9 pm, so we'd have to start at around 5 pm to ensure that everyone got their track time.

I don't know about you, but I'd rather run around lunchtime than start at the hottest part of the day.

26 in and still nine days out. I'd say you have a three group minimum and that should be worth it for them to run us 8-midnight on a sat. night (my preference) or 8-noon. 30 x 60 is 1800 bucks and I would bet it may be 40 especially if it's in the cooler hours.However, if the hours are set in stone, then yeah, I would rather do this at 10 when they open.Anyway, I'll likely be there with better back/rib protection.

If you show up and you’re not on the above list, you’ll be put on a “waiting list” and only get a spot if someone doesn’t show (unless we have less than 42 on the list).

I am working on prizes for the main races, a published schedule for race times, and an arrival time so that we can get the first group off at 10am. Stay posted for details!

Didn't see a cost but is it $50/person for the group rate? The website shows $30 for the first race, $25 for the second and $10 for the 3rd. When DKC went to cars and coffee they said that the 3rd race is free for anyone that comes out so that would basically be $55 for 3 races.

Cost is $60/person. That includes three races with our "special" format (one practice, one qualifying, one rolling start gridded race) plus prizes for the race winners. Anyone who wants to stick around and do additional sessions it's $10/session for the extra sessions.
