I voted WTF. Sorry, couldn't resist.
IF my car is running, and IF there is someone that could help me with a CLUTCH Fluid flush, I MIGHT stop by. Tailchaser was ragging on me for the maple syrup look of my clutch fluid the other day. Oooo... and I need a fuel filter.... gotta put in a new fuel filter. And maybe a new thermostat. Yeah.. That's the ticket! :shaking2:
:thumleft:
I've got a Mity-Vac. I could probably use a clutch-flush myself! :oops:Quote:

I'll be in Waxahachie that morning doing construction on my senior design project. If I can break away form the fun and excitement ( ) early enough, I'll stop by on my way home.
What would I need to bring? (Fluid, jack, jack stands, tools?)
Man, I really need to do something about my jack situation at some point. I have two TCB jacks -- one that will fit under the car but doesn't lift all the way, and one that won't but will. I end up using the first one to lift it a little, then the second one to finish the job. Doh!
Man, I don't think I've ever touched my clutch fluid. Is it the same stuff?
Chuck
Your jack problem is nothing that a couple pieces of wood wouln't cure. Drive onto the wood to allow more clearance for the jack that works. :P
OzCop has a good suggestion about the jack situation.Quote:

Will there be any gorillas there? When we installed the turbo, etc. we had a hard time getting the return oil line hose over all of the barbs. So, it's leaking and I'm a maybe if I could resolve this. :D
I'm not sure if I need a clutch fluid flush or not but I am interested in seeing it done and always ready to meet a new Miats owner as well as some of the rest of this bunch so count me in. Oh bye the way..Can I have directions to the POS world HQ?
What time would this be if it's going to happen?
PM POS for directions to the POS World HQ.Quote:

I'll try to be there but no promises...
We had to spend the night last night in a hotel - getting tile put in a large portion of the house... and combined with a couple of late night events for work, I may have to spend Saturday doing "honey dos"

Send me a PM if you need directions to my place in Euless. I'm just about a mile south of Pennington Field (183 & Central Dr.). This will also be the last of the Tech Days at this Facility we will be in our new World Headquarters on April 4. :(
Please keep in mind I do not have my deposit back yet on this place!
3 pm I be there with my new toy and some Valvoline Syn brake fluid. Do I need to bring any tools?
To all who are participating - Bring your jack-stands, fluid(s) and be prepared to take your old fluids home with you. Paper towels are always a good thing to have on hand. There will be a floor jack on-site and I will bring my Mity-Vac.Quote:

I hope to see you guys at the next tech day, hopefully at POS's new World Headquarters!
Due to the current mental state of mrsthing and our new home . . . she insists that you can manage without my wisdom and expertise.
Please refrain from using the :cat: in you comments.
How about this then?

You boys have fun without me... I'll be in Austin on Saturday and won't be back 'til afternoon 4 or 5pm...
Can somebody help me swap my Cam Angle Sensor o-ring?
Chris
Yes... bring it when you come over to the GTG...
After it's replaced you will want to wash the back of the engine off to clean up the mess and keep it from caking up with grunge that the oil will collect.
RJ
Sorry I didn't make it out there... We ended up going and buying my wife a new car
Funny how you can agree on the price before you ever get there, yet they still keep you there for over 4 hours!
Anyone want to buy a 2000 Mazda MPV loaded (even has a flip down TV)?
What did we get her?

Sweet!!!
Hey, it was good to see everyone today, and thanks again to POS for putting everything together and providing the space. My '96 is much better off now with new brake/clutch fluid and no air. Very chic.
Chuck
It really was a great event - THANKS POS!
My only regrets... not bringing my camera to take pics of the Speedbleeder installs for my cardomain page.
RJ
It was really nice meeting all of you yesterday. Thanks for flushing my brakes and clutch I really enjoyed the time there and learned alot. Special thanks to POS for letting us use his HQ. ...........Jerry :D
Thanks for the all the help guys, I had a great time.
I got an answer on my 1.0v source. I called my brother and he suggested a diode inline. So I went to Mecca, I mean Fry's and soldered it up. It actually took two diodes inline, but I got a 1.01v signal !
Chris
It was great meeting all of you. Thanks again to everyone who showed up to help a brotha out. I don't think I would have passed tech yesterday with that day old coffee for brake fluid.
It was a lot of fun we will have to do it again soon! I took a few pictures, well actually just these 3.
