White 2006 Miata

Looking to make the switch back to the NA side so looking to sell my NC. I have owned the car for 9 months now and it has been a blast. So here is a quick rundown of basic info.

-2006 White Mx-5
-White Hard Top, never taken off the hard top so I don't know the full condition of the soft top. Dealer said there might be a small tear.
-67,8XX miles
-6speed manual
-very clean car except for very minor scuffs here and there (also looks like someone was rough on the curbs before)
-$12000 obo, very willing to negotiate price and would love to get a cheap NA to work on.

haha you have pics of the 96? Might as well jump to a NB since I've never had one yet.

btw, I see there are weekly meets out in Dallas, but is there anything closer to Arlington/Fort Worth area? I'd love to come out and get a look at the miata crowed here in town and maybe find a buyer.

'96 is still an NA...'99 was the first NB.

You are poking a hornets nest with a stick there. There is a long-standing beef with west-siders about all of the meet-ups occuring in Dallas, mainly by people who don't attend anyway. Build it and they will come, but so far it only seems to actually work at Kellers. Even that has been a small turnout over the past year.

Details on the '06, please. Do you have maintenance records? Any accidents or incidents?
Does the car have a LSD?

I may also be interested in said beef depending on how long this beef has been long-standing.

Fair warning!! If creating a meet on the west side make sure it ends before 4pm so everyone can drive home before it gets dark out:D

I do have records of the oil changes and brake pad replacements, the only other paperwork is what the dealer provided in the car fax. No previous accident or incidents.

Back in the day we had an emoticon for stirring the pot. Now those punk kids call them smilies and there aint no pot stirrin.

The sad thing is my miatas are the only cars I've owed under 400whp... I guess it's time to change that...

On another note... I REALLY want this car...

Pretty sure this is a Sport, which would not have an LSD, unless ordered with a suspension package. If memory serves, that was limited to GT's. Call Mazda with the VIN and know for sure. It is relatively easy to add the LSD if you really want it, and they aren't too tough to find used. Its a damn nice car either way, especially at that price.

Sorry for the inactivity, just got out of surgery (appendectomy). Car still up for sale, but I've decided against selling the hard top separately, sorry :/.(price still very negotiable)

well, I was not in the community when "the beef" got started, but there is no evidence of it in the present "kellers group"... all it takes is YOUR participation... show up and have a good greasy burger, and cheap beer... I'm there every week, see you wednesday!

Not sure if the placement of the tear helps or hurts my cause because the majority of the top looks great, also seems like it's wearing out at the same place on the opposite side. Any suggestions?

Design flaw that all NCs have. Mine is torn too. I don't know if they changed it for the NC2s. Talk to OZMDD about what he did with his new top to help prevent that in the future.

^You remove the small straps riveted to inside the top's frame that make it fold into a tight 'Z' when you drop it.

Yep, once you unhook the straps, the tension is removed and the damage will not worsen. You can have an upholsterer sew and patch it if you like.

I have a cloth soft top that came off my NC for sale ; )
It doesnt have any rips and doesnt leak, just the glue bleed through issue all the cloth tops have.

I know it was a huge pain when I had a friend help install my NA's soft top, how about the NC's? Is it best to just patch it before sell, or have someone install a new one?

I replaced the top on my '07 but it was on the frame. Not a tough job except for removing all the interior bits is time consuming.

If you are selling it, esp at the price you are asking, I'd just unhook the straps and leave it to the next owner to decide. Your car is priced competitively.

Still for sale $11,500.. also, previous mileage was wrong, it's 68,7xx now.
