Miatas at Hallett XI - Sept 13th-14th, 2013

Official DFW Miata thread for MAH-XI

When: Sept 13th-14th 2013
Where: Hallett Motor Racing Circuit near Tulsa, OK

Event Hotel is still Hampton Inn in Sand Springs.

Cost:

Before Aug 15th - Sat Only $155.00
Fri-Sat $275.00 (Advanced Drivers only)

After Aug 15th - Sat Only $180.00
Fri-Sat $300.00 (Advanced Drivers only)

Extra Sat Night Dinner Tickets - $15.00 (One included per track entry)

Reserve Raceport - $75.00 (4 car covered space)

Reserve transponder - $25/day or $40/two-day

I like this event so much I am giving up my season ticket seat to the Texas A&M vs Alabama game to go. The football game will probably determine who will be national champions next year.

What room rate do you get at Hampton? They told me there is NO $82/night even I told them what Connie mentioned to say Miatas@Hallett.

I had to talk to the manager, Bill Russell, to get the "group" rate of $82/night. The "Hallett" rate is $95/night. Apparently they have at least two rate books, group and corporate.

With that said, SixAce is not going to Miatas@Hallett this year, so I have half a room available, if someone needs it.

Mailed in the registration and got my $82/night room reserved at Hampton! For the rest of you, you better sign up soon. I think Connie may cancel the event if she does mot have enough cars to commit to the event. It takes a lot of up front $$$$$$ to host the event.

Also sent payment but haven't heard back. I had emailed Connie beforehand and she replied I would get a call after they received it.

I called a nice lady named Sami up there and she E-mailed me the tech form. Unfortunately, I can't upload for some reason (I don't have permission to do that). Mods?

Just got an email from Connie. Things don't look too good! :-( Only around 25 have signed up as of today! I hope she won't have to cancel b/o not enough people. Guys don't make the last year's event the last M@H! Pay now and ask other to sign up ASAP too.

Stupid question - I've never been to Hallett. Judging by the aerial photo on Hallett's website all the facilities are infield but I dont see a tunnel. How do you get to the infield during the session?

The entrance/exit crosses the track and is gated off during sessions. l believe they briefly open it up between sessions to let cars in/out.
