NTAXS Autocross #5, 9/20/14, Lone Star Park ***EARLY START***

North Texas Autocross Series (NTAXS)
Saturday, September 20th
Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie, TX
$35/driver entry fee.
Pre-register at http://www.dlbracing.com starting September 5th.
No on-site registration.
The event is limited to 65 drivers.

You get eight runs at NTAXS events, so you will make four runs in the AM session and four runs in the PM session, with a lunch break in between.

8 AM – 9 AM Check-in, Registration, and mandatory Tech Inspection
(You must arrive in time to check in and pass tech inspection prior to 9 AM)
8:00 AM – 9:00 AM Course open for walking
8:45 AM Novice Meeting (mandatory if new to NTAXS events)
9:00 AM Drivers Meeting (mandatory for all)
9:15 AM First car out

Car Classing is based on engine size:
- Class 1/1R is for engines under 2.3 liters, except Honda S2000 and Lotus
Elise/Exige.
- Class 2/2R is for engines over 2.2 liters, but under 4.0 liters, plus Honda S2000.
- Class 3/3R is for engines over 3.9 liters, plus Lotus Elise/Exige.
- Class S2000 is only for Honda S2000 on street tires.
- Class X/XR is an open class for any engine displacement and induction.

Rotary engine multiplies displacement by 2.0. Usage of forced induction multiplies displacement by 1.5. (This is in addition to the rotary multiplier, if applicable.) Tires with a wear rating under 140 must use the R class.

I need some blowers and broomers for the NTAXS event. These will be your work assignments. Specifically, I need one person to blow the course from 7 AM to 9 AM, two persons to assist the blower with brooms (from 7-9), and one person to blow the course during lunch (you will not have a lunch break). Four people total. Please let me know if you’re interested in a position. Blower and brooms provided. Broomers might want to wear gloves to avoid blisters.

I still need a person to blow the course before the event and another person to blow the course during lunch. A few sweepers in the morning would be great, too. If you are interested, please let me know. Or we just use the lot as is.

Definitely not! I don't know what I was looking at before, but I must not have been looking at the right entry list! Luckily, I was able to snag the 65th spot, after I realized that I wasn't registered!

Great course. Really like lsp. Thanks Scott for the codrive. I really like the set up of your car and it was nice to have torque.

That was sad to watch. But then "recorder stopped" and I chuckled a bit.

There isn't a nicer guy in autox than Kenny. Really bummed to see the motor let go after all the work you've put into it, and how well you take care of your cars. Pretty minor delay really, as shattered-block turbo motor failures go. LMK if I can offer any assistance in the fixing.

Great to get out and the course was fun. This will be my last as Georgia is on my mind.. Can't wait to experience Road Atlanta.

It was great to be back to an event after so many months of jacking around with the ITB's on my car. It was also a great surprise that the OEM ECU actually let me complete all of my runs without going into limp mode! Every other driving cycle before, during, and after the event required me to shut it off, restart, and / or clear DTC's before I got where I was going.

The course was a lot of fun. It definitely took some time for me to get the hang of it, though. I think I was jerking the car around too much in my early runs. Once I smoothed out my inputs, it felt much better.
