Who's going and who might be willing to have a codriver? :)
I'm going and I already have a codriver. ;-)
Next . . .
I'm going but I'm not looking for a co-driver. Sorry...
I'm going and trying to con my wife in to driving. As onething said... Next!
That's a possible working Sunday for me. Don't even know if I'll be there. Next...
I might be there...
You better make sure you get him to sign a waiver if you are considering letting him co-drive the BUR! :razz:Quote:

PM me if anyone is intrested.
Thanks,

Does this mean I'm going to see you riding the horse at an upcoming show too? Sounds only fair to have you get involved in each others hobbies... ;)Quote:

Bring like some masking tape to tape off numbers, I'm assuming you don't have magnetic ones to slap on. Bring a tire pressure gauge and an air compressor so you can adjust your pressures. A skid lid would be good too, unless you're cool with sharing the loaner helmet with people you don't know and their hygene practices  .
If I'm not smoking crack ER is two heats with three runs each and two Rapid Pax runs at the end you have to pay extra for.
Ya get six runs if you do the Rapide pax, four if you don't.Quote:

Get a roll of blue painters masking tape. Easier on the paint and higher visibility too. Bring water, gatorade or some other suitable fluid. Wear comfortable 'running' shoes, bring sunscreen and a hat.Quote:

Two things Blaze:
Since you are brand new to autocross, take a look at the two sources mentioned in this thread. Read those "articles" so you'll have an idea what to bring and what to do. Don't worry too much about all the details -- we'll be out there, and we are very happy to help new folks! :thumleft:
- Equipe Rapide has blue painters tape (and duct tape, and masking tape -- but I wouldn't suggest using either of those!) in the trailer, and we'll let you use some for your numbers/letters. Don't buy a roll just for the event... use ER's the first time, see if you like autocross, and if you do, go get some real magnetic numbers/letters.
- There are work assignments that don't require running around -- grid and clean-up leap to mind. The problem you'll have is getting one of those assignments. My suggestion would be to get to the event early and get to the front of the line (like Altiain does)... that way, you'll have a better chance of being able to pick grid. You might have to work 3rd heat (which isn't too bad) or 2nd heat (which is worse because you race 1st heat, work 2nd heat, race 3rd heat), but that will be better than being assigned a corner and potentially having to run/trot/amble.
Thanks Kestrel....I have been excited about doing this since I came out to meet everyone in Mineral Wells.
And got a ride with Tailchaser, I still think he was trying to scare me lol.
great links btw. I am doing reading now.
I am always early to everything so that shouldnt be a problem.
I am looking forward to it, cept for my greasy tires.
i wish I had kept my OEM rims now for R compound tires...oh well, later..
Thanks for all the advice guys.
Nah he always drives like that! :burnrubr:Quote:

Dang... now the cat's out of the bag...
I want a set of THOSE Hankook's!
I wanna go too! I'm shopping for a helmet right now.
Just lost one of my gigs, hope I will be able to come up with some cash for odds and ends before this event.
Right after I just spent $700. on equipment for my business...crap!
I guess thats the way it works though, I still am going to try real hard to make this one. I am curious about dynoing the car too just to know what its putting out.
Billy how does this relate to the subject at hand? Which would be about the ER Autocross? :???:Quote:

If you can only afford one or the other -- a day autocrossing or a few pulls on a dyno -- forget the dyno and come out for a day in a parking lot. You'll learn a lot more about your car (and yourself) at an autocross, and have a lot more fun as well. Of course, if you can afford a new header, you can probably scrape together the entry fee to an autocross. ;)
You don't need any "odds and ends" to participate in a local autocross. They all have loaner helmets and tape for letters/numbers. As long as your car is in proper working order, you don't need to buy or do anything except show up with the entry fee.
Don't think about it, don't talk about it, don't worry about it... just do it!
LOL,..ok ok
Sorry about rambling, I was milling around in my head the cost of a helmet etc.
Not to worry we have come to expect it! :tongue:Quote:
