I know most of the guys who are starting it...
It's stemming from the protege group originally, but several of the Rx7 guys are headed that way as well.
I never knew we had so many turbo proteges in DFW...
Interesting....
Give it a little time to get going...
I think they only set up the forums last monday... And they didn't have the ability to upload any personal profile info or anything yet then..
It's a fun mix of guys... average age is probably a litle under this board, but similiar interests. (and a few memebers who coudl qualify for TCB status ;) )
They have some interesting pictures in the Gallery !
those were from last week's Monday meet we were at in S. Ft Worth...Quote:

I registered. Not much going on yet but I'll keep an eye on it.
The girl looks like she had a tough time getting comfortable in the car.
Was that it! I thought she was digging around under the seats for change so she could buy some clothes that would fit her! :clown:Quote:

I guess they're just leaving room for growth.

Kind of an oxy-moron if you ask me. "WE DO NOT CONDONE STREET RACING...but post about it anyway, we even made a whole forum for it."Quote:

Why? You want to take her Momma out on a date? :mrgreen:Quote:

Hey guys, glad to see some conversations about our forums at dfwmazdas.com
I am the "admin" I guess.. put together the site one night because everyone else is too lazy. I think it was Moeed who chose the categories but I am going to revamp them tonight. I like the idea of organized motorsports. I autocrossed once at RevItUp last year and loved it, hence my decision to buy the JIC coilovers. I have a personal site at http://www.vividyellow.com too.
The age group isnt all that young. We have Patrick (LinuxRacr) who was one of the OG's of the protege group and the "tester" for NOS and turbo on our cars before anyone else was doing any performance mod's. He's still here three engines later, haha... Him and I are both running Haltech E6X's. Hes at 10 psi and I am at 1 bar for the special occasions. Although I started out as just show, I am getting into performance and so are others. We have a pretty good team of engine management experts. We should combine knowledge on this - I have installed many Haltech standalones and a few piggybacks.
We didn't setup the site to take away from any other forums, most of us are on the protege forums but just wanted our own place to organize events locally other than the gimpy texas section of the protege forums. We wanted to be open for all Mazdas, not just proteges. Hell, one of our most known members is Pirana, he had a protege way back before his STi and NSX but still prefers this crowd over the others. Hes almost old enough to be my father.
It would be nice to oranize events sponsored by all of us, dfwmazdas, dfwmiata, the RX7 group and others. I would like to get a booth or something setup for the next RevItUp at least - and we have some things planned out for HIN.
If you have any complaints or comments on how to make things on there better, PM me on here or on DFWmazdas.
Thanks,
Ahmad
The use of a Capital Letter every once in a while wouldn't be a bad idea either.:razz:Quote:

Welcome to the site, ELEmental59437.
Don't take all of the comments personally - we tend to give everyone a hard time around here.
We'd love to see some of the MSPs and other Proteges out at local racing events - having autocrossed an MSP before, they're definitely fun and capable cars right out of the box.
BTW, if you do set up a "Motorsports" section, feel free to link to our Calendar and DFW Area Autocross Schedule pages.
Is this "official" permission to link? I dont want to get in trouble with anyone. I will prob have something up for a calendar within a few days. I spend too much time on that site as it is.Quote:

I made this post from my new phone... I don't think I will do much more forum reading/posting from my phone, but it is cool to see that it is possible and actually worked! :flower:Quote:
