Ok guys, I found out Friday that I can't get the road closed between the bus lot and the paddock lot due to not having the insurance sheet two weeks prior to the event. (National office late getting it out, just got it Friday, called the powers that be and was advised too late) However, I have designed a great course that will allow grid to take place on the bus lot, and still give us a good 55/60 second, fun to drive, course.
We will have to empty grid completely before allowing next heat to grid, but that should take no longer than trying to get cars from a grid area in paddock to the course lot. Trust me on this one, it should be a much better event without the logistical problems encountered in the past... :burnrubr:
Does that also mean that we will have to grid a heat all at one time and completely?
It means that cars can leave following their last run, and we will have a pre-grid in the Paddock lot to move up after the previous heat cars have finished. That, as opposed to folks going in at random and creating a traffic problem...it should work ok.

Just in case you didn't see it on the TX Region list, due to low pre registration numbers, we are offering to waive the walk-up/late fee. It SUX anyway, but it does help John Stankus prepare a worker sheet if folks register online. Also, I will be out at the Bus Lot Saturday evening at 4PM setting up if anyone wants to stop by... :thumrigh:
If we end up with less than 125/130 drivers, I'm going to suggest we get 6 runs...anyone else up for that? :burnrubr:

Well I had a fun day, of photo taking. (I need a better camera) stupid delay. anyway, thanks to a certain wheel,hub, assembly part that keeps giving me problems, my focus was out of comission, so I attempted to take pics of some of you guys today. Thanks to a huge shutter delay on my camera as well as a low megapixal count, the pics didnt turn out too good. oh well. thanks to jiggerachi, as well as sts2l #21 for the rides.
