Im thinking of orginizing a drag strip night. Not much of a drag racer, but there is a strip in sanger, (north of denton), as well as an awsome restaruant in sanger. Babe's chicken.

Did someone say "Catfish" ? Count me in....... http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...66_94_full.jpghttp://memimage.cardomain.net/member...66_80_full.jpg

found some info on the strip. Looks like fun, we might just have to do this one. (Babe's catfish is good, trust me on this one. The lifeguards from my pool go at least once a month.)
I'm up for this one as well....
That was more catfish than you could shake a fry at!Quote:

I would be up for that say a saturday or sunday or even Monday night.
But my car would have sucky times but it would be fun at any rate.

Yeah I have some friends that go down there pretty often and race their cars.. Havent ever gone tho :eye:
Last time I went to the Kennedale track, I nearly froze my toes off. Somehow I don't think that'll be an issue right now, though.
Looking forward to a little track time!
So who here thinks they have the fastest straight-line miata? Ill place bets on mine being the slowest.. :eye: haha jk its not that bad now with the turbo..
Depends... how long is the line? ;)Quote:

I don't mean to jack your post but I go out to the sanger track alot and the best time for us to go would be on a Friday night when they do their test-n-tune night. It's kind of like a run what you want. If my memory serves me right you don't really have to have any safety equip. until you go 8.40s in the 1/8th mile. Then you have to hav a helmet. It's $10 to watch and park with thegroup or $15 to run as many times as you want until they close. :burnrubr:
Thank you, that is exactly the information I was hoping for. I had found somthing like that on the website, but I wasnt for sure.
anyone going soon?
I might be interested, but I'd probably won't bring the miata.
Sure looks like this post is just a lot of talk.....Quote:

How can we eat dinner and then go to the Drag Strip? Some of us are not very close to Sanger. What time does the Drag Strip close? I'm very interested but the traffic from Arling ton to Sanger on Friday evenings is a B...h...
Jerry
Pick a Friday, pick a time, post it. :pirat: Not having an event at all due to indecision is much worse than the time/date/location not working for some. I have been interested in several gatherings that didn't work with my schedule, but that life.

Perhaps somewhere in the mess of all these posts we mentioned price? Anyone know what this may cost?
about 10 bucks
