NC at Hiley Hurst / Arlington???

One of my Wife's co-workers is looking at Miatas; he got a call today saying a couple of NC's have arrived at Hiley in Arlington!

Anyone seen an NC at a dealership yet???

I was there yesterday and they weren't on the lot, might have had one inside on the floor, but I cant stand their sales staff. The service department had not seen them either.

Well... I can 100% confirm that Town North has at least 3 of the new NC's on their back lot waiting for "dealer prep". Looks like two Galaxy Grey and one Black.

Interesting that the sales guy I talked to earlier said they weren't in yet... :shock:

I believe those are the standard 17s that you get (along with the 6 spd) if you want a car with a LSD.

Just out of interest, I got a letter from Classic Mazda in Denton offering 5k off MSRP on the NC. Maybe they have some, too.

RE: 17" Wheels -- If the car is designed for them, they're not necessarily a bad thing.

GRM -- whom you know isn't into the bling -- did some testing with a Civic with 14" as well as 15", 16", and 17" plus-sized wheels:

"The one area of improvement that could not be felt or timed was the one that could be seen," he continued. "it was almost surprising how much each additional inch in rim diameter helped the lowered Civic coupe complete its more aggressive visual statement."

As someone who has always felt that the added weight and increased rotational mass offered by 16- and 17-inch rims were too much for a small car like our test Civic, David came away very impressed by the larger tires and wheels. Sure the 14s rode down the highway the best, but they did nothing to inspire any confidence on both the streets and autocross course. Since all of the plus-size tires were detrimental to ride quality, why not go with the ones that look the best and offer the best handling?

Hiley has one in and I got to check it out but they had it in the service station putting the stickers on it and such so I didn't get to test drive it. $27k for that one

Town North just got 4 in and they will be ready to test drive and show on Monday! Who's with me? :burnrubr:
