That LSMC thing is the 15th....anyone still thinking of going? Thats the same weekend a the "pitch a tent with Billy Blaze" outing.;)
How willing are folks to do an all day type trip?Quote:

The hill country has some nice twisties... I'm just afraid it would take too long, and with gas prices being what they are, would be rather costly for some.
I'd be up for a Talimena run or somewhere to do twisties & see the fall colors.
Hell, even an overnight run would be great - like the 3 Mountain Tour the Arkansas club does every fall... Meet after lunch, twisties, late dinner, hotel, more twisties, leave at lunch.

Oooh, German food... :)Quote:

I'm open to go anywhere...German food sounds good.
I would be willing to meet you guys in Meunster, I'm coming from the opposite way as most of yall, so I don't know if I could do the drive before hand.
This wouldn't be scheduled for the weekend of the 15th. It would be possibly the next open weekend after the 15th!Quote:

I'd be interested in a Fall Trip, but the difficulty is we have an ER or SCCA autocross every weekend left in October -- including the ER double header in Mineral Wells on the last weekend of the month.
If folks are willing to give up an autocross weekend, and are up for an "overnighter", I might suggest an Oktoberfest Run to the Walburg Restaurant northeast of Austin (near Jarrell, Georgetown). We could do a "Hill Country" run, winding up at the Walburg Restaurant. The pictures on their website doesn't make the place look all that good, but looks are deceiving. The food is very good, the beer selection is very good, and if the weather is nice, the outdoor Biergarten is fantastic! As an added bonus, the owner and his band will be playing German Music in his Biergarten (our Oktoberfest party )! We'd party as late as we wanted, then stumble to hotel rooms, sleep off the beer, and head home the next morning (or afternoon, as the case may be ;) ).
It's just a thought. I haven't worked anything out -- like the route or hotels or anything. Just throwing it out as a possibility...
We did the Muenster run Mid October last year with the S2K guys it was a blast! But you are correct the calender is pretty packed for October...... Maybe November?
The Walburg Restaurant looks cool!
I would suggest you guys go the weekend of the ER doubleheader;)
You mean that you'd like to have a chance of placing?Quote:

It's about a 250-260 mile loop all together.
If there is any interest for doing a run on any of these Saturdays: October 22/29 or November 02/12 then I'll put it together.
I need input as several events keep me from being informed on what the majority want. Heck, I'll do it if there is one other car.
Open to anyone and any car if you like. My riding buddy has a SSR and a Bugeye.
I'll provide the starting point, maps, and call the restaurant.
All road rules apply and I accept no liability.
Let me know. :drive:
Those are great roads... I'm booked the rest of the month, but have fun
That sounds like fun Rudedog! Need to see when we go an open weekend! We really appreciate your offer!
rudedog - I would definitely be interested in another trip to Muenster.
Looking at the local racing schedule, I would suggest either the weekend of Octover 22/23 (the PCA autox on our autox calendar has been canceled), or November 12/13 (we don't have too many BMWCCA particpants on this board. My vote would be the 22/23 of October.
I, on the other hand, would vote for the November 12/13 date... Oct 22/23 is already booked with horse activities...
Another vote for Nov 12/13
Not to mention the SCCA Autocross on October 23rd...Quote:

Is this thread dead ?
Or is there still some interest
in the November 12/13 date?
Well, these things usually die unless someone -- say, yourself? -- plans the thing out, and then "hounds" everyone to come out and play. Sorta picking a date, and kinda mentioning/discussing a pile of possible destinations just doesn't work 'round here. ;) I'm not bustin' yer chops river, but someone has to take this bull by the horns if they want any results, and so far, nobody is stepping up to westle this bull.

This group is starting to look awfully familiar (and if I could find a ducking smiley I would use it here).

Honestly I'd much rather chat on this well-set-up-and-populated board and have events happen rarely (when someone cares enough to put it together) than attend even one stupid meeting where everyone takes time out of their days to get together and argue about by-laws and elect people.
Chuck
Actually we have a very active group, that's one of the reasons for the delay on this event. A bunch of us are finishing up a highly compedative autocross season where MME is always one of the largest groups. We had an huge turnout to the Mazda Zoom-Zoom event!
Just on this post we have the lovely and talented Rudedog offering his help for another one of his awesome events.
Not to mention our world renown tech days, track days, and lunch GTG's
I think we are doing just fine but nice try Mosmiles! ::SpamLase
And all this with no meetings!
You're kidding, right? The beauty of this group is that we are a 21st century "club" (although I hesitate to even use that word) - no dues, no bylaws, no officers. Call it equality, call it anarchy, call it whatever - it works. All you have to do is take one look through our multiple Events sections, including the Autocross and Impromptu ones, to see just how well it does work.Quote:
