Come on, don't you understand anything? Prices are higher here in Dallas because the cost of transporting the fuel from the Gulf Coast refineries to our gas stations is more expensive than to deliever it to Oklahoma. It's so much farther to Dallas you see, and those poor, struggling Oil Companies are just trying to hang on...Quote:

If I remember correctly, I paid less than a dollar a gallon the summer of 2000.
And even then oil companies were posting record profits!
i ran across a gas reciept while cleaning out a drawer in my desk the other a while ago (this was when gas was 3.20). it was from earlier this year, but the price was just over $2 gallon.
I just came back from OKC, OK and I paid $2.289 at the Flying J truckstop at 122nd Street. This was not a single station as the Loves acros the street also had Regular unleaded for the same price at $2.149/gal. The highest price I saw in OKC was $2.29/gal at one station and I did not see anyone buying gas there.
The thing that amazes me is that the price of aviation gas has not gone up significantly in the last 15 years. Last I checked, it was still at $2.75-3.25/gal. Makes me wonder why the car gas is going up.
