They've got a Spec Miata seat and a "Fat"... er, I mean, "Big Boy" seat as well.
They're located out in Flint... about 115 or so miles south/east of Dallas. Anyone care to ride with me down there this week? I've absolutely got to test fit these seats.
I would think the key thing to look at is will the seat in question fit in the tight confines of Miata. It is kind of narrow as compared to a Camaro. :P
True... but they make a rather wide Spec Miata seat... but still, I would prefer testing my feelers in these seats!
Have you thought about doing the foam-ectomy procedures to your seat? You might be surprised, especially with the side bolster improvement. Either that or eat a salad (3 bean) once in a while! :P

Well did you get a Seat yet 3bean???
The spec 18" seat runs $199. For 50 more they're building me a custom seat. Something about how the trans tunnel bumps into the seat bottom. It should be nice! I hope they get done with it soon!Quote:

Let me be more specific.... not fitment issues with me in the seat... issues with the seat in the car. I may have to cut some of the tranny tunnel in order to get the seat where I want it. This is gonna be fun!Quote:

e. Carpets, center consoles, cargo bins, drivers seat belt, floor mat, radio system, headliners, dome lights, grab handles and their insulating and attaching materials may be removed. Other than to provide for the installation of required safety equipment or other authorized modifications, no other driver/ passenger compartment alterations or gutting are permitted. The driver's door window glass, window operating mechanism, and inside door latch/lock operating mechanism may be removed and the inner door structural panel may be modified, but not removed. The stock side impact beam, if equipped, and the outside door latch/lock operating mechanism shall not be removed or modified. This gutting of the door shall only be made to the driver's door and shall only be made if roll cage incorporates NASCAR-style side protection extending into the door.
I'm trimming the top of the seat just a touch... but to make it sit where I want it, I've got to drill out the spot welds on the rear seat mounts and then either cut or hammer out about a two inch square area around the tranny. Right now, the interior is all out of my car and it's easy to see what work needs to be done.Quote:

Then all you would need is someone with a welder.
