2/18/2006 GTG @ NTB lewisville

Some of the guys I know are throwing a car show at National Tire and Battery in Lewisville so I thought I'd post some details. A few of the details are lost in my congested head, I'll edit if theres anything off...

WHAT? car show
WHO? IMPORT class
lifted trucks
lowered trucks (what do you expect, theyre truck guys)
classics
BEST CLUB PARTICIPATION<---i think we can win that one!
WHEN: Feb 18th
8am-11 registration
11-3 show
330pm awards
HOW MUCH? $5
WHERE? NTB LEWSVILLE
SW corner of I35 and Coroprate Dr

There seems to be vendors, (TrackDogRacing? you have a pm!) There's food (Boars Head will be there) I think Monster Energy drinks will be there (most likely for a VERY TCB Price!!!) I know theres prizes but dont know what.... I think someones providing trophies. More info as it comes ...any questions? anyone interested?

oh yeah, 10% off tires, and $10 oil changes. (pennzoil filter and pennzoil bulk oil only) oh did i mention 10% off tires?

I'm gonna try really hard to show and shine. If I can't get there before 11am I guess I'll just watch and hang out.

Any deals on M&B or plain ol' dismounts?

redmenace: dismounts? lol a coke from the coke machine seems to be the going rate;) mount and balance? well, if the manager sees me working all day and sees that no ones paying at the counter, then, well,...thats no good considering that im still the rookie...

This is next weekend....
I know most of you will be AutoXing and others....

Will be on a quiet beach with::Paul:: and their metal detectors looking for rings and bottle caps....::Clown::


But.... if your not doing either of those give this Car Show a thought. It might just be helpful when we try to plan our own. :D

I'm going to try and come by with NC and 03' FM car. All depends on timing of picking up the cars, etc.

Next weekend is also 3rd Saturday weekend (www.sidewalksale.com) and the RV show will be going too... :D

ill be there rain or shine, but most the other guys however are dropping out of the show. my coworkers response was "theyre not gonna bring show cars out into the rain....":punchout: well, i wouldnt mind if some miatas wanna come out to visit and chat. we can show em whos tough!


yeah bottom line, i think itll be called off due to weather. but i dont think thatll stop some hard core guys from coming out to see a few cars. and me! ;)

Besides you know I'm a "Fair Weather" driver.

Unlike everyone else I braved the weather and went out there, too bad It was me and all the employees. Well anytime I get to take the MSM for a drive I am happy

Yea, sorry AJ.. it was a little too cold for me.

My dad and I stopped by with his new 03'. What a bad ass car. The guys he worked with seemed more interested in my 97' Civic hatchback. 3 guys asked if it was for sale. :D

yeah theres more than a few honda nuts up there. chris, your dads new tater is really somethin! im so jealous! thanks to you and your dad, and magma for showing up. :burnrubr:
on my way to work that day i past so many wrecks! i guess the weather really scared a bunch of other drivers! its a good thing we drive communicative cars. i was doing my usual 70mph on the tollway, not feeling any less traction. my phone rang... "dude, is the car show still gong on? i need to know cuz theres like 20 guys waiting to leave!" that was a VW friend of mine asking, i had no idea there was so much interest! about 20 people called the store, and another 20 called the guy that was holding the show. wow, theres gonna be a good turnout when he finds a date to reschedule!
