I'll be in town, and it is right down the street from the house. I guess 8 months is a long enough wait. Count me in! :D
I'll be there for my weekly spanking... :( :?
Wear the leather shorts. 3Bean says TC likes the sound leather makes :o .Quote:

Well... Congrats to me (for leading the all Miata street tire class), lugnutjon (who broke another one, but won C Stock anyway...), brock (for victory in STS2 and his first ER win), pigpen for an impressive showing, turboduane for fastest Miata on street tires (but during a fun run... but you are open to smack talk now)
I'm sure I missed plenty more. I'm going to nominate myself for the Holly's Miata Traveling Trophy since my fastest time of the day was obtained with the a/c on and a passenger on board.
Now... to watch the British Grand Prix...
Thanks Tailchaser. For all those that are curious, I ran 40.333   during my last fun run. I'm so stoke'd!
Many thanks to all that made this possible, I ran well today in the Equipe Raptide event 5 here at HEB's Pennington Field in the "Arlington Computers" "Fly'n Miata powered" MX-5. I'd like to thank my wife for letting me go out and play today (ie. getting me out of her hair one more day this week). I'd also like to thank Cheap Team Bastard for lending me their (currently) fastest driver LugNut John for fabulous instruction and training, as well as for the shade in the Pits, and all the encouragement to keep trying even after so many dissapointing finishes. Those Falcon Azienies really held the course well. And last of all I'd like to thank my crew cheif (me) my pit crew (me) and most of all my team owner (me again), because without them I'd be nowwhere....
Let the smack begin
amended: Thanks ThreeBeans for the additional Shade and having nothing to do with my best time ;)
Hey now, one of those tents you were sitting under is mine! So in a way, I had nothing to do with your fastest time! :PQuote:

Thanks for that link general... and we missed you out at Pennington Field.
As for the event highlights, let's see:
- 16 Miata Pilots
- 6 Drivers had their best run in Class, the other 10 saved their best run for the Rapid Pax
- Unfortunately, Miatas only won the classes where they were the only make of car competing (CS, STS2, T) :(
- 2 Miatas broke the 40 second barrier
- altiain beat me in class again, this time by 5 one-thousandths of a second (he beat me at a recent NTS2KOC event by 3 one-thousandths of a second)
I think everyone had fun with the course, and it was nice that the event ended a little early. We probably have the BMW folks to thank for that -- they undoubtedly siphoned off a few folks that might have been at Pennington Field otherwise.
Hey TC, since when do you drive a nothing Miata?
