I'm in. G stock.
I'm in for one - which one will depend on the weather forecast. B Stock.
I plan to be at both.
I'm hoping to hit both days. CSP stock;)
Well nuts.
I just found out that I'm going to be getting on a plane early (like, real early) tomorrow morning to do some field support work for one of our new products at a minesite in Montana. I should be back in time for Sunday's event, but no guarantees. :(
Butte?
Butte breath?

Ahem . . . I think I will miss the doubleheader. You guys remember the doubleheader? That is what this thread is about.
Somebody's giving head?
Looks like Hal's advertising his "Services 2 miles"
Looks like we better bring the rain gear. Dang.
It's lookin like Saturday will be dry, but Sunday may get some showers.
well I've finally got a day I can dust off the Kansas car and come play. Look forward to meeting all of you.
Steve E....
does Warren do corners?
Not a big Miata turn out and a small crowd altogether today. Fun fast track, though.
I'll be there tomorrow, too.
I'll be there tomorrow in my Miata. I'm going to run with my Bridgestone RE910's in TES. With Robert J's help, the Escort is home. I'll start trying to fix it Monday.
If the course is about the same tomorrow, I can compare my Escort times with my Miata times.
Today, I shifted into 3rd at about 7000 rpm. I thought I had missed the shift and just got into neutral. I tried again, and the lever was all the way into third, but not driving, still like neutral. I shifted back down to 2nd and finished the run. When I got back to grid, I found that if I put the lever in 1st or 2nd, the transmission seems to be locked down, no go and the engine dies. If I put the lever in 5th or R, same thing, no go. If I put the lever in 3rd, I could slip the clutch and get moving, but the transmission seemed to stay in 3rd when I shifted to 4th. It seemed that there was no gear change. There are no noises from the transmission.
Maybe a bent or broken shifter fork? Maybe something more serious?
I had an interesting trip home. On 820 around Hulen Mall one of my race tires goes flying off the trailer. I was in the left lane and was able to pull off the highway. The tire actually rolled straight along the shoulder and I was able to retrieve it. I'm just glad it didn't jump the barrier wall and go into oncoming traffic or veer out into the traffic on my side and cause a wreck or something. I guess the pipe had vibrated loose after 8 years of use. Need to dust off the MIG and spot weld everything this winter.
Then about 4 blocks from my house the trailer comes unhitched. Thank God for safety chains. It's amazing how I'd driven 44 miles from MW with the tongue not locked down and it decided to pop off so close to home! Maybe I need to be teched for the drive home from now on!
I'm glad everything came out as well as it did. Better luck tomorrow.
Did you stay for the party after the event? ;)
Glad you got it all home in one piece, so to speak and there were no injuries.
hope cone cerned didn't do too much damage.
I spent part of the day helping tailchaser punch holes in his new truck, and the windshield is still in tact!!! Who knew you could work on a vehicle and not destroy the windsheild?
Geez, my trip home went just fine. I hope that does not mean my problem will come today! Just the usual stop at Taco Casa for a bean burrito. Mmmm, crappy burritos.
Wow, I'm missing out on a crazy weekend. Cone-cerned sorry to hear about the car! Hopefully you'll get it figured out soon.
Mark52 a lot of close calls for 1 weekend. Hopefully you didn't scratch any of those shiny wheels.
Before you tear into the slushbox, check your shift linkages... maybe you just hamfisted them into mush. ;)
Hopefully it's something external and not inside that transmission. Pulling a FWD transmission isn't a fun job.
Good luck - If you need some help give a shout. Yahoo Maps makes it look like you are fairly close to Clark's BBQ. Maybe we can have a wrenching party & BBQ fest.

Blech. Got home from Wyoming yesterday at about 6pm. Been working 18 hour days in sub-freezing temps in an open pit coal mine troubleshooting ECU problems on a drilling rig. Almost got killed by hitting an antelope with the rental car at 2am Friday on the way back to the hotel. Not fun, but I've got a newfound appreciation for miners. Those guys work hard for a living.
Thought about coming out today, but sleep turned out to be a much higher priority this morning. Sorry to hear about all the issues yesterday - how did today turn out?
Today was great! There were a few sprinkles, but that was it. It was a pretty pleasant day. We started an hour early and so few people came out that we were done with runs at noon. Lack of corner workers was a problem, though.
The track was great. It was basically a reverse of yesterdays, but with a few changes. It flowed really well and was very fast.
Good times.
Speak for yourself. ::Censor:: After 2 and a half years, I think I'm getting the Escort figured out. It feels like I'm starting all over with the Miata. It's going to take several Evolution schools the get all the suck out of my Miata driving. My best time was a 93.1? I did have a lot of course workers in stitches. They were LTAO.::Banana::
Not sure if you race on a full tank or empty tank, but my NA rotates much better with a full tank. I push a lot more with an empty tank. Not that this advice will all of the sudden fix everything for you, but it might be one difference from your Escort.
I'm betting you're going to figure out how to drive the Miata pretty quickly.
As for laughing at you, it was a small snicker -- I promise. ::BaHump::
