I'm having problems with the "Readiness" monitors for state inspection. My Miata is a '96 and, therefore, OBDII. It's been back on the OEM computer for several weeks, now, and I've put about 250 miles on it. I'm still getting 3 sensor "Not Ready" status reports: Catalyst; O2 Sensor; and EGR. The CEL light is not on, so everything must be working properly. Should I just drive it some more and and hope at least one of the problems will resolve itself? Anybody ever had this problem?
You got a scanner??
On mine it will show you as the clears the "Readiness" stuff. You sure your giving it a complete drive cycles?? It doesn't even start looking at stuff on the '99 til it's warmed up. Guess it doesn't care while it's in a cold loop.

I have a scanner (just came today). I would have thought that after driving it a couple hundred miles I would have satisfied the drive cycles. Maybe not.Quote:

ps: this is apparantly not an uncommon problem on 96-97 Miatas.

That is odd, because obviously if something isnt working then it would give an error instead of not ready. From what I understand the drive cycles also include key cycles too. Maybe drive it on any errands or to work if you can and see if turning it on and off for a few trips helps.Quote:
