How many people are coming to this? I was thinking that we may be able to get a TCB price on rooms by going in as a group and reserving early.

I'm in... for sure... :colors:
I'm bringing this one up the rankings! 8)
So who is planning on attending the last 2 ER events for the 2004 Season???
Challenge Cup Event #9 & #10
November 6-7, 2004
Mineral Wells Airpark
Link to more information about the event!
I'm in... for sure... :colors:
:P
I'm 99% sure I'm going to be there. I think the wife has realized that driving to Nebraska for a weekend ( ) would force her to take a day off of work, or go without sleep for three days. Since I don't even remember why were going up there, I'm pushing hard at this point to just send a card to whoever it was for whatever they did.
I'm glad my side of the family is small... and lives in Scotland! :P
I plan to be there both days. Not going to spend the night in MW, though.
I'm in for 1 of them. Probably Saturday since we've been working Sundays again.
HHHmmm, I might make it to a saturday.
The points race in CSP is realy tight again this year. These last 2 events will determine whether I or Mike Steinbach (yellow Datsan roadster) gets the First place trophy! If I'm counting correctly, I have to beat Mike at least one more time to secure First. It's a one-point spread, so who knows what will happen.
BTW, I just made reservations at the Best Western at 4410 Highway 180 E for Saturday night. The price is a little steep for a BW ($90), but my family will be out there with me, watching daddy secure 4th place in CS. :? Anyway, ER folks usually go to the Pizza Hut nearby, and have a Pizza "party"... and last year they paid for everyone (meaning, I don't know what they'll do this year). :thumrigh: Or we could do an MME dinner like we did the year before.
So who's staying over on Saturday night?
I was thinking about it, but not for $90 a night. :?
Anyone want a co-driver/tire warmer for either day. Very unlikely I'd be a real threat to screwing up the season points for anyone :)
I'd run the P5, but Olivea needs it on the weekends, the scirocco is dead, and the t-bird, lets just say its not a car meant for the track.
Hmmmm... I may be defecting and going to play with our other Japanese convertible friends in Arkansas...
Yeah, I have to admit that $90 is a bit much for a Best Western. On the other hand, there are other... cheaper?... options. I think the Ramada Inn is less expensive (I think they want $68 per night), and it's only about a block further west (the Best Western is right where you turn left to head to the airpark). Or you could just stay for dinner and drive home afterwards.Quote:

I've got a tent I'll lend you for $25! :PQuote:

Maybe I should just pay for your room... in Cleveland, Ohio! That's the only way I'm going to steal 2nd (or 3rd) place in CS.
I don't stay in $30 hotels with my family. Motel 6's and Super 8's are scary places if you actually care about your wife and kids. :shaking: Now, if I was going alone, that would be a different story...
Maybe onething will loan you the molester van and you can sleep down by the river! :nutkick:Quote:

Gab
There you go altiain... down to $45 each per night. And if you two stay at the Ramada, it'll be $34 each per night! :)Quote:

With any luck, I'll be living in the van down by the river. My country home will be sold next Monday if all goes according to schedule.  :cheers:Quote:

Yes... come out to the ER event in Mineral Wells for at least one day. Run the car and enjoy the experience. Ask questions now, and you'll have a better idea of which modifications or upgrades you might want to do over the winter to prepare for next season!
As long as your car is in good working order, you aren't going to hurt it by running an autocross in it. Come out on Saturday and run, and then hang out Saturday evening and enjoy a little camerardie with other AXers as we go grab a bite to eat together. Typically ER pays for everyone to have pizza at Pizza Hut on Saturday evening.*
Come on out and play -- that goes for all those MME folks who haven't given it a try yet. This last event of the Equipe Rapide seaon is always fun, and it would be a great opportunity for you to meet other MME members face-to-face!
--------------------------------
* And I'll pick up the bill at Pizza Hut for any MME member if ER doesn't. The only "catch" is, you have to come out on Saturday and run!
Okie dokie... Looks like I'm in for the fun/party/etc. Who wants to share a room with me?
I might be in for the Saturday run... Sunday is the SO's birthday...
Tailchaser, I am looking for someone to split a room. PM me if you are interested.
Well guys, looks like im in...
I'll probably come out saturday, depending on what I have going on that weekend.
So who is staying in Mineral Wells Saturday night?
I haven't made reservation yet, and I'm thinking if we don't have a big group staying over I may save my $80.00 and go home Saturday and drive back Sunday.
Let's start a list:
kestrel and crew
tailchaser
gabkwong
Mods feel free to edit this to add others.
If I didn't have the SO's birthday on the 7th, I would choose to stay with you POS... :tongue:Quote:

No pre-reg available (other than annual) for ER events.
