That spot works for me. That Kellers has some pretty crazy cars there on Friday, and Saturday nights. I've seen as many as 3 A/C Cobras there at the same time, 2 that were turboed. And various other cars. They do a car show there at least once a month.

Their last location (Frisco) shut down because their permit was with the Cruizers restaurant, and that closed down so the time after that the Bed Bath & Beyond called the cops and they kicked everyone out.

Same kinda thing happened with the Addison location and a Babies'R'Us earlier in the year, except for some reason that city requires an event permit /along with/ private permission or something.
No free assembly here!

I think I saw Mouglie's car there... but I rolled up in my stepdad's black porsche boxster that he had just picked up that night. (He's gonna autox it!)

Did anyone see that friggin 80's camaro/firebird (was too far to see) try to burnout on the street in front of the meet, and totally lose it and spin over the median? The entire meet rushed to the scene almost to gawk at the moron!

Never been to one of these RKC Meets and some how I don't think I'm missing anything. :rolleyes:

Besides, as MiataMike said, wouldn't they consider us Ricers?

Those meets are like 60% ricers, 15% nice normal cars, 25% supercars.
There were like 6 C6 Z06 vettes, a couple of SRT-10 vipers (one twin turbo'd), a Ford GT, an old stingray with a hoodcowl that went almost up to the roof of the car, and a few other goodies to gawk at. Then its about time to head out.
And I think rice is signified by a ratio of boasting and exterior mods vs car performace.

Actually many of the cars that show up are rice. I have seen a Pontiac Sunfire with Nismo stickers a few times.

Personally I think any car can be riced out.
Substandard parts and shotty installs = rice.
Not the brand or nationality of car.

The term RICE usually refers to a car with lots of exterier modifications, ie, underglows, body kits (usually unpainted, or painted some horrific color), two aftermarket rims and two stock rims (can be on the front or back...I've never seen them on one side and not the other haha), painted drums, stickers (Powered by VTEC sticker on a toyota or saturn???)

All that and no actual performance modifications. Although stickers are worth 5 whp each....or so I've been told. But peoples definition of rice varies

People's definition does vary. There in lies the problem. My performance mods have mostly been in handling. I have an intake, header, exhaust but that's it in the power department. I have plans to go FI but it will take time.

If by definition rice is customization done poorly or cheaply, Rat Rods are rice. The whole point of Rat Rods is it's done as cheaply possible using home spun methods.

If by definition rice is modifying a family car, hot rods are rice as hot rods typically started out as hand me down cars to teenagers. Do blue dots add performance? What about chopped tops, channeled bodies, frenched lights?

My point is what "ricers" do is nothing new. It's just what they do is different. Each generation has its style and contributions to car culture.

I'm not a fan of what a lot of people do to automobiles but just because I don't care for it doesn't make it wrong. In fact, I take it back about the Mustangs with Altezzas. I just don't care for it on those cars. To each their own.

was that you in a yellow boxter next to some Lincoln car? i think you parked next to where i was by the yellow Protege next to a viper... my car was way in the back, by the grass area, kinna crappy parking out there and low lighting...

hahhaa, dumbass camaro spun out and almost hit the pep boys sign. nothing happened in that instant but about a block later his rear tire was completly flat...

Nah, I was in the black Boxster next to that cobra, in the back right near where you were, but still on the concrete. Wasn't there for too long though!
I might hit up the next one... maybe in a new car this weekend hopefully!
