Default aftermarket airbag deactivation switch for a '94

Does this exist anywhere? Has anyone heard of such a thing? Is it possible? It drives me nuts that my niece and I can't enjoy top down rides in this beautiful weather because of an airbag that might or might not work anymore.

I've got 2 driver's airbags, 1 airbag with control module off a '93 and a driver and passenger airbag with control module off a '96.

If you are interested in any, let me know. These parts are VERY expensive from the dealership.

I sell parts at low prices.

He WANTS to disable the passenger side.........

I understand you can disconnect it and jumper the plug with a resistor (size unknown), but I wouldn't trust it without removing the bag. Of course, then you have an ugly hole in the dash.

My passenger airbag is unplugged. My driver's is gone (Momo wheel) and I yanked my airbag computer when I yanked my dash so no blinky airbag light.

I'd assume a disconnected airbag is pretty inert as long as it doesn't receive an electrical charge to it's wiring.

BTW, I've not seen an after-market airbag switch. That seems like to much of a liability to produce. I don't see why someone knowledgeable couldn't make there own though.

The problem is that you want a KEYED switch to keep it from getting messed with. If you can key it to the ignition key then you can help prevent it from being turned when the car is on which could possibly be a BAD thing.

Are there easy to understand instructions somewhere on how to unplug the passenger airbag?

I'm sure there are, but won't that set off the airbag light and beeper?

Yes, it will set off the light and the beeper unless you put a resistor across the leads of the wiring harness.

    Call Joe @ RSpeed.
I got a plug and play module on the 92.

They may work on the 94+. ???

Leaves the system intact but disarms the bomb.

I got mine from finnishline, but I hear there out of business.

    Ask Sonja or Joe.
