So what they are saying is the engine is about half dead, since they only lasted about 10 hours at WOT. Still though, that's one Ford I'd be proud to own.

The RS was a purpose built rally car. It got it's 200 designation due to the homologation rules saying that they had to make at least 200 street legal ones and and sell some to the public. These cars have as much as 700 bhp and are about the size of a Toyota MR2 and weigh as much as a Miata.

Believe it or not but much of the R&D from this car went into the Ford Escort rally car. Not much to look at but it got the job done.

I have one on GT4 and it eats Z05's and Vipers for lunch.

*Edit* Looking around these go for about 55K pounds or about $115K US.

    RS200's are VERY cool cars.
I am no big fan of AWD, but mixing AWD, mid-engine, turbo, and light wieght is a recipe I can learn to live.

Default a little Group B history primer

    Check it out...

Back in the heyday of Group B, Road & Track did a big comparison test between some of the top competitors. I'll see if I can dig it up to jog my memory further on these cars - they were effing wild!
