You have my sympathy with Lufthansa and the Frankfurt airport.... I got to go through there twice last week as well and all of my flights were delayed somewhat... but they didn't loose my luggage.
DAMN it's good to be home.
Went to Barcelona last week to attend a set of meetings for work, but it wasn't all work.

A group of us took the blue tour bus around the city and saw the sights.
I took around 400 pics - what an amazing city! The architecture there is as varied as it is beautiful. Not all of the pics turned out OK but what the heck. It's hard taking pics from a moving tour bus. There were occasional stops so you could walk around. You just grab the next tour bus at the stop to continue the tour.
The not-so-fun part: every single flight was delayed getting to and from there and Lufthansa lost my luggage on the way home. Frankfurt is a HUGE airport and I'd recommend you schedule yourself a 2 hour layover as 1 hour is NOT enough to keep you from running your ass off through the airport.
The plus side is that my luggage got delivered over the weekend and the bottle of Russian vodka was intact.
The biggest upside is that work paid for the trip. Our currency is in the toilet so EVERYTHING over there is even more expensive than normal. The hotel was 167 Euros a night and the wireless internet access was 22 Euros for 24 hours. Dinner was about $25 to 30 Euros a night.
You might not think that is too bad but it was 1.466 Dollars to the Euro last week while I was there. Multiply that out - ouch.
If any of ya go over there let me know and I can suggest some sights to see and things to avoid. There are a lot of pickpockets over there and they run a few different scams to distract you. One of our team members from San Jose had her camera taken right out of her jacket pocket when walking through the crowd.

That's awesome!
Please tell me you went to Sagrada Familia!
I went to Spain in 1996. My cousin is fluent is 5 languages and was our tour guide. We stayed along the east coast in a little city called Cambrils. We took in all of the architecture in Tarragona and Barcelona, then drove up north near the border of France. I was 11 when we went, but I would love to go again.
I went to Aubrey today.......
