Update-
I left the house and looked at the sky thinking, "looks like it won't rain tonight"...
Well, I can't tell you how wrong I was.
I got to 360 and 30 and there was this wicked wind blowing... the storm was coming and coming quickly. Luckily for me, I got to my pal's house before the rain fell. However, all his covered parking was taken... argh! No top, falling water, and a huge oak losing it's leaves makes for quite a soppy, messy parking spot.
One good stroke of luck, however, was that I timed my exit correctly. On the trip home, I could see the storm clouds over central Dallas (around 75 and 635 somewhere) and I barely missed them nailing the Tollway. I headed North on the Tollway and caught no rain at all. The storm had done its worst and I thankfully missed the driving in the rain with no top portion of the night!
:P
I forgot to add...
There was one casualty... my radio is now dead.
Dead. Dead. Dead.
Oh well... gives me more reason to tear out the dash now.
